This topic is really a matter of opinion, but what do you think is the greatest Aston Villa XI of all time?

Here's my team...

McParland: The Northern Irish forward lies on the floor after a collision with Manchester United goalkeeper Ray Wood during the 1957 FA Cup final in which McParland scored both goals as Villa won 2-1 at Wembley and the lethal finisher scored 121 goals in total in his 341 appearances for Villa.

Withe: "Oh it must be, it is, Peter Withe!" - The muscular striker who scored the winning goal in the 1982 European Cup final made 233 appearances for Villa, scoring 92 goals.

Saunders: Won promotion from the Second Division in 1975, won two League Cup's in 1975 and 1977, won the league title in 1981 and it was his side that won the European Cup in 1982. Enough said.

My team is made up entirely of 'post-war' players as you can probably tell but that's only because I never had the privelage of seeing the likes of Tom 'Pongo' Waring, Harry Hampton, Billy Walker and many more play, not even on old tapes or anything but those players do deserve a mention as do many others.

Time to pick your greatest ever Villa side folks...
