Sunderland winger Ahmed Elmohamady has signed a permanent deal with the club after a season-long loan.

The 23-year-old Egypt international made 38 appearances for the Black Cats last season whilst on loan from ENPPI, and the deal taking him to the Stadium of Light last year included a clause for a pre-arranged fee.

Liverpool have completed the signing of Jordan Henderson from Sunderland on a long-term contract after he agreed personal terms.

The Black Cats accepted an offer from the Reds earlier this week and allowed Henderson to head to Merseyside for talks.

He underwent a medical on Wednesday and the transfer has now been finalised after the relevant paperwork was sorted.

Elmohamady is a damn good player. Was one of their best against us at SOL last season

Not sure about Phil Jones though. He may be a hot prospect but $19M?

none of those signings bother me, as they weren't anyone is wanted or expected to see here. Once names like Samba, N'Zogbia, Foster, Adam, etc. start signing , then I will be worried. We still have plenty of time.
