England fans took the p*ss all over Europe in the 80s and 90s , causing chaos wherever they went

Since then 99 per cent of those involved in trouble before are banned and have to hand in their passports before tournaments .

Nowadays its only the genuine non  trouble making football fans that follow England abroad.

But  because of the reputation they are paying the price. They  are  the  prime targets of hooligan gangs and police forces from every country in Europe

That's totally dismissing the very poor, provocative behaviour of some England fans. Clear many are there simply to cause trouble.

England clearly has ability but it's the lack of commitment that kills. How many times did Walker & Rose put in a great ball where no one sold out for it? Game shouldn't have even been close.

Here we go again !!! ... Off the pitch, any trouble is ALL the fault of the England Fans (All of them ???).

On the pitch, a much better performance but, ... our goal came from a set-peice, not from open play and I think Hodgson screwed things up by substituting Rooney ... he is the lynchpin of the team and after he went off, matters deteriorated, ultimately at score level.

England unable to beat a 2nd rate national team!!

The more things change, the more they stay the same

“Each smallest act of kindness, reverberates across great distances and spans of time --affecting lives unknown to the one who’s generous spirit, was the source of this good echo. Because kindness is passed on and grows each time it’s passed until a simple courtesy becomes an act of selfless courage, years later, and far away. Likewise, each small meanness, each expression of hatred, each act of evil.”

England's biggest achilles heel is their manager.

Sterling was absolute rubbish. Ran into his defender too many times and couldn't cross his T's. The subs were stupid given that we were only 1 up

Agree JR. Taking Rooney off in particular was an odd decision as he was running the game. However, I still thought Sterling was causing them problems on the left even though his delivery was suspect.

Also what is it with Kane taking the majority of dead ball situations?? Mentioned this before prior to the tournament. Surely it should be Rooney? Not good enough to be a dead ball specialist and should be on the end of those dead ball situations instead.

Kane looks burned out to me and needs a rest. Should have been replaced by Vardi with Rooney hitting him on the break when the Russians came forward looking for the equaliser.

Furthermore still not sure about Hart either. Looked a bundle of nerves last night even with very little to do. If England do progress I'm sure that will not have gone unnoticed by the better teams. Looks to have a real bad mistake in him.

I think Russia will turn Wales over so England need to win on Thursday and I think they will if they repeat the same level of performance.
