I approached all of them throughout the day and made my self clear to them as a fellow Villa fan, and everyone of them said more or less the same thing, we are going down this season. I said come on give it a go let's see what the new guy who ever it is can get out of this mix at the Villa.

Two of them have no time for Lerner and one hates Richards with a passion, said he is a moaning ungrateful sod lol.

Small world indeed, we all shook hands and went on our ways, one was  wearing the old Mita copiers  top...die hard or tight either way a true Villan.

missed the james mclean thread and it has been closed now so i cant post 

so for what its worth here is my post on the subject

i am going to see the wolftones in Birmingham on ~Friday week to listen to the songs i was bought up listening to 

and i wouldnt be suprised if James Mclean is there too as its right up his street .  If he is i will call him a c**t to his face because thats what i think he is for not wearing the poppy and  turning his back for the national anthem in the country were he earns his living

Anyway i notice Connor Mcgregor the Irish , world kick boxing champion got a bit of stick the other day for wearing the poppy

but why should he be forced to wear one,would people be happier if he just wore one for the sake of it,he doesnt agree with ireland being occupied & also what happened in his city of derry,...ye' not call connor mcgregor a c**t though haha ;-)

i just think he should wear one out of respect for the people that died for the country where he earns his living

fair enough,but  he might earn a living here but his democratic rights or political rights  shouldnt be controlled he see's the poppy more than just the WW but the conflict in ireland,we'l just have too agree to disagree on it mate il say no more on the subject this time of year in the past 5yrs have felt like poppy watch on who's wearing one & whos not,when yrs ago nobody batted an eye lid on it ye either wore one or not no fuss made,everything was lowkey & dignified

back on the happy pills again but this time sertraline instead of prozac only 50mg but will taper up dosase as usual,..bring back the numbness(hopefully)

We have seen many Americanism's enter our culture in recent years ( its fair enough we gave them theirs ) in the name of rampant commercialism and while I am not particularly bothered by trick or treat and black Friday can our weathermen please stop the latest, i.e. naming the bloody weather every time it gets a bit windy. In the last couple of weeks we have managed to survive Barney and Clodagh and this weekend every body will completely ignore Desmond, though no doubt some local BBC reporter will do a bit on local news in the coming days about a tree coming down in some village nobody has ever heard of and an exclusive interview with 86 year old Ethel whose hat was blown off..........its hardly Katrina is it ? for good sake's stop it you fools.

while i totally get what u are saying, i need to correct u on 1 thing. halloween is irish. i cant remember the full details but it has something to do with that particular day that the dead go to heaven or the other place or somethin. i didnt get much from school but i remember that and long division lol

I need to correct you me old Mucka I didn't mention Halloween, just the American custom we have adopted over the past decade or two of trick or treat. Halloween itself has a long and varied history within Christianity and like many Christian festivals can probably be traced back to Pagan times.

Now its possible that trick or treat or some form of it dates from way back as I suspect its not a coincidence that in England when I was a kid just a few days later we celebrated November 5th by asking for a Penny for the Guy which was a celebration of the burning of Guy Fawkes and all the Protestant/Catholic rivalry that went with it, though as a child in 70s England we had no idea of the religious implications.
