It's was because the catchment area of my school covered around 20-30 miles, maybe more because it's in Fowey which covers a huge area. Due to this the high classroom numbers meant that they had to split all the years into 2 halves, then when 1 half is doing maths the other will be doing science, when one half is doing English the other half will be doing French and so on. So if you went up in maths but not in science your maths group would be in lesson the same time as you'd need to be in science.

That's just stupid and poor planning. They should have introduced setting then there wouldn't have been an issue.

Schools wouldn't get away with that nowadays: parents, and students themselves, would be up in arms.

^^^^ This ^^^^ I've tried to avoid dipping into the thread as it can easily be interpreted as racist to suggest that the country is full. Trouble is it is full…and breaking down. No matter

so many claimants suffer and have their benefits reduced while the problem of fraud is relatively small. I understand money needs to be found to reduce debt. plenty of other areas to exploit before so

the landlords take the p*ss with high rent putting more strain on the benefit system

We were in sets but instead of making 2 groups of set 1,2,3 they made sets 1-6 so sets 1,2,3 in maths and science went together and sets 4,5,6 went together so if you should be in set 1 for science but set 6 for maths they favoured the subject you were worse in and put you in set 4 for science which was classed as the middle set and equal to set 3 but in the other half.

I think a decent teacher makes a difference, for example. At school I was crap at maths, when I went to college later on in life and qualified as a spark the maths is A Level and I got a distinction right across all of it which is like getting A at A level, also it was the highest marks in the college. A decent teacher and maybe a little more willingness from me lol

Thing is no effort is being out into stopping scroungers all the effort is being out into cutting benefit for all so the many suffer for the few once again. I agree there should be done about people who just don't want to work but I I they should be rehabilitated and shown what's out there if you work hard, I was shown that by my parents as my dad had his own company and did well, some people aren't that lucky and now you have a generations who have never seen what it's like to achieve as they have been brought up in the culture, instead of attacking them why not help them. Someone goes to prison we try to make them better, someone is ill we make them better, someone is brought up with this mindset and we just decide they should be punished. Before the Tories got in there were so many back to work schemes, I was helped by A4e, they gave me a disability specialist and helped me look into work, I volunteered for it but if you were on the dole for x amount of time it was compulsory, as soon as the new government came in it was the first thing to go, all the centers closed and all they talk about now is taking the money away if they're not forced to do jobs for free!! If the works there pay them to do it!!!
Why spend even more tax oysters trying to re-educate these last fuckers, they all had money spent on them at school to educate them. What about the one stole £1,500 A MONTH ? Both of them should be in prison. The only one I felt sorry for was the bloke who was am alcoholic, as openly said he was abused as a child.

Take the first sentence out and your spot on. You said your brother has 6 kids, that was his and his mrs choice, no one forced them to have that many. Too many people think this country owes them something, does it f*ck.

The thing with the education system nowadays is that the work load for teachers has risen dramatically, maybe Anne can vouch for this. A couple of my mates are teachers and they say there is so much to do outside of the class room that it's near impossible to get it all done

+1 - This is my stance, I always say if you can't afford kids, don't have them.

A lot of benefits are hard to monitor who is actually legit and who is just a serial hyprocondriac, I find it refreshing when you meet people who have severe problems but still maintain some type of work even if its less hours etc.

A lot of people who comment on here clearly haven't worked in the employment industry. Lol I have, and I wish I could put this picture I have on my phone in here because it shows statistics of fraudulent claims etc (which coincidentally about 0.9% according to statistics)
