avfc85 130
When did the fairplay kick in this season?
Skyba 246
It kicked in last year but they've got 3 seasons to get within them so it's worked out as an average over the previous 3 seasons I think so clubs like city and Chelsea will just sponsor themselves accordingly to get around it. Said that's exactly what they'd do a while ago and got berated and then a few weeks later they got a record breaking stadium deal lol. Fair play will be a disadvantage to normal clubs and will just serve to make the gap bigger between the money clubs and the rest. When I was just a little boy i asked my mother what shall i beee. Shall i be villa shall i be blues, Here's what she said to me...... YOU KNOW THE REST
B6! 651
Fait play is bullshit. Chelsea have just announced nearly 50 million in losses. Still in the champions league. If Chelsea's loss is £50 million how much will citeah's be ? Championeeeeee Championeeeee Olee Oleee Oleeeee You need people like me so people like you can point your fcuking fingers and say there's the bad guy
ak47deol 177
lol was just about to type this. I think this window will be the same as always, no wage budget = no experience!!! if we listen to rumour bacuna was 800k helenius was 900k and tonev was £1m and they're all apparently on less than £15k a week. if this is the type of money we have we can kiss goodbye to experience and no matter what you think of lamberts tactics there's not much anyone could do in the prem with that budget Nathan Redmond is on less wages then Tonev and Lambert never signed him. There are players out there on cheap wages to target Defour is on around 15k a week. Lambert uses wages as a big excuse to try and cover his poor transfer deals

We're not flush but we definitely aren't strapped for cash to the point where Cardiff, Southampton, Swansea, Everton and bloody wet spam can out spend us

We have bigger gates and surely better sponsorship deals. You can add qpr to that list as well, once the likes of bent, Ireland, given and nzogbia go this summer we seriously must have one of the lowest wage bills in the premier league. I bet it's bottom ten at the minute. I can't decide whether that's lerners fault or lamberts insistence on not buying experience

We're not flush but we definitely aren't strapped for cash to the point where Cardiff, Southampton, Swansea, Everton and bloody wet spam can out spend us You don't know this though do you? All we know is the purse strings have been tightened. You said the other day that you know he's looking for a buyer so surely it would make sense that he wants to spend as little as possible. For all we know tonev, bacuna an helanius could be on £7k a week. The way I look at it is lambert's reputation and livelihood is on the line so he'll get the best he can afford. He's a clever man and has more footballing knowledge than all of us regardless of what certain people think, If they knew more they'd be a football manager. So if we can see that the likes of lescott, Barry, Milner or whoever would improve the side so can he and there's got to be a reason for him not getting it, some say ego but that's bull. What's going to hurt his ego more, an experienced player having an opinion or failing to do the job at villa? When I was just a little boy i asked my mother what shall i beee. Shall i be villa shall i be blues, Here's what she said to me...... YOU KNOW THE REST

Why wouldn't Lambert want to spend on bigger targets? He just has never had the opportunity managing lower league teams and obviously Villa in its current state (because of Lerner). What's going to hurt his ego more, an experienced player having an opinion or failing to do the job at villa? Tonev is apparently on around 20k a week, money well spent? Redmond, Bollasie, Puncheon, Routledge, Dyer are just a few names who earn less then Tonev and are better players but Lambert doesnt want to sign players known, he wants to basically find stars which is a massive gamble as the worst thing that will happen to him is he will be sacked and find a club lower in the leagues Purse strings have been tightened yes but we still spent more then nearly half the teams in the prem
