  1. Might as well post this here : Telegraph - FA to alter ticketing policy for England's friendly against Scotland at Wembley Scotland has a 20K allocation of tickets.
  2. Most (if not all) of us use a pseudonym as our User Name on Sites such as AVillaFan. What User Name (or Names) do people think 'stand out' ? I was just looking to see who was online and this Username jumped off the page : 'Feral Boy' - the mind boggles ! Admins : Could this become a competition ?!

  4. I watched the first half, then fell asleep at half-time and missed the second half. Did I miss anything ?
  5. It is still 'as you were'; if Wigan lose or draw at Arsenal on May 14th, Aston Villa cannot be relegated Now we can only wait and see, but Tottenham shunting Arsenal out of the EPL top 4 today works in our favour, because Arsenal will absolutely not be giving Wigan any favours when they meet. I hope Wigan get a draw at Arsenal, but nothing more !!! EPL teams from 9th to 20th, as at 12/05/2013 : 09 Swansea C.. 37 -1 46 : .................... : H Fulham (19th) 10 West Ham... 37 -10 43 : .................... : H Reading (19th) 11 Stoke City. 37 -11 41 : ...
  6. Now that Wigan FC has lost its game-in-hand, we now know for certain what needs to happen. If Aston Villa match or better Wigan's next result, or if Wigan draw, AVFC will be safe from relegation. EPL Table, teams from 9th to 20th : As at 07/05/2013 : 09 Swansea C.. 36 +0 46 : A Man United. 8. Let this apparent dissension at Newcastle be a warning to us at Aston Villa. Telegraph - Newcastle will be relegated unless the dressing room is united, warns Kevin Nolan Whatever happens to Aston Villa this Season, Paul Lambert has built a TEAM that has battled through tough times together. All being well, our Team will survive to achieve greater things in the EPL next Season and in succeeding Seasons.
  9. The sensible attitude to local football rivalry from the West Bromwich Albion Manager. Skysports - Steve Clarke hopes rivals Aston Villa avoid relegation I think, putting all banter aside, we would feel the same if the roles were reversed. Furthermore, this indicates that Albion will not be doing any 'favours' for Wigan.
  10. ... and heads - for thinking about the game - and scoring goals !

  13. Relegation might not bother the Lerner/Faulkner financial axis : Telegraph - Premier League's relegated clubs will receive parachute payment amount of £60m over four years
  14. As ever, to suit SKY - 'Super Sunday'. Sunderland lost and QPR drew with Wigan, so Aston Villa remain 16th.
  15. My sister summed it up well in an EMail she sent me : England did well tonight...didn't see it but heard they got 8 goals...but played a crap team.
  16. Update to the fixtures table I posted on 11/03/2013. 17. 'Statto' was a regular on that football chat show Frank Skinner and Baddiel did in the 1990s. Man United beat Reading 1-0, not Wigan. Wigan are Home to Newcastle today (17th March).
  18. I will stick with my UserName, someone else can have 'Statto' ! When I read that AVFC had looked at the other fixtures, I did the same, so having done that, there was no point in not posting them. Something to do on a cold day, I do get out, but somedays are best spent in !
