  1. I personally wouldn't touch Lampard. I think he failed with a very good Derby side and then failed with Chelsea. I wouldn't want to be his next experiment. The Danish manager has ruled himself out hasnt he? I don't. Smith was becoming out of his depth. Whether we are successful in our next appointment or not, i still think it was time for Dean to go. I thank him for what he did and i will never forget some of the good times but if we want to push on, we need someone more advanced than Smith imo

  3. ive missed something here according to all knowing SKY Sports, --Grealish has left with the best wishes of the Villa management and players, and they respect his wishes its all been very amicable,!! and the decision to leave was very hard for him to make!! sorry to me this is all P.R. trying to win Villa fans over, some already have thanked him and sent their best wishes!! blimey i must be old school---he has gone to a new club new city and probably a new home---he has gone to a PREMIERSHIP rival,,not a foreign club or club in a different division---he is now on the football field the opposit

  4. Really disappointed with Grealish especially for all the kids that would have looked up to him, thought he might be different but sadly just another reflection of what football is these days. Hate all this Sky big 6 entitlement rubbish that we should be grateful to have just had Grealish for a few seasons. We made him the player he is today and we stuck by him through thick and thin. I remember days in the Championship where it looked like his petulance and off field antics might prevent him from reaching his potential. It's not so long ago I watched him lashing out against Forest gettin

  8. ^^^^^^ if true could be a good move---spoke to a mate in Dundee---says Stevee Gee, dont take any crap from the players---thats what we need, players are posting their thanks and goodbyes to Deano---a lot of them need to take a long long look in the mirror, their performances miswrable faces and body language contributed to his sacking.---- VTID--

  9. I am struggling for names but if i was to pick anybody, it would be Potter. Is it just me or does anyone else think it could be someone who hasnt even been mentioned? Its how we do our transfer business so why would we do our managerial appointments any different?

  12. I love the fact we have a Villa fan as manager along with the new owners, it really has repaired the gap between the club and it's supporters that had become so toxic over the last decade or so. But it is not enough for Dean to be a fan to be Villa manager, he has to be judged on his performance as manager and if he fails in his objectives then Villa fan or not he has to go. So when Dean took over from Bruce, his job was to build us up like Brentford and get us promoted on a much reduced budget. I doubt anybody at the club realistically thought he would get us up that first season, but he did,

  13. How bizarre, to not want to qualify for europe. Do we think West Ham fans are hoping and praying their results drop off to avoid the disappointment of having to play AC Milan, Roma, Ajax etc next season? If we qualified for europe would we not look to bring new players in to supplement the current squad to deal with the additional rigors? Doesn't qualification raise Villa's profile around the world, does it not make us a more attractive proposition to players we target, does it not introduce a new revenue stream into the clubs transfer coffers, does it not provide Grealish with

  15. Without a doubt yes. Like everyone I have been extremely disappointed with recent performances and results and I don't agree with the ahead of schedule or better then we thought we would do argument a reason to excuse our recent dreadful form. We must strive for better then that. However, Smith has done a terrific job and I think it would be absurd to even think about a change. Every time Smith's teams have had a major fault he's addressed it and come back stronger like the huge defensive improvement after the break last season. The team has improved every season and we can't b

  16. I don't think there is any doubt that Smith is taking us forward. I'm as frustrated as anyone with our form since the COVID outbreak, and his decisions at times, but the progress this season compared to last is massive. He took us over when we were mid table in the championship. Within a couple of years we are beating the champions 7-2, playing some of the best football I've seen us play in my lifetime and actually being in the mix for a European spot come March. All the talk seems to be that we plan on significantly improving the first team again this Summer. Should that be true, t
