Carruthers to MK Dons?

Samir Carruthers has tonight posted a picture on his instagram of the view from his hotel room. This picture clearly shows MK Dons’ home stadium – Stadium MK.

The Dons kicked off their season last weekend with a goalless draw away to Shrewsbury, followed up with a 2-1 victory over Northampton in the League Cup on Tuesday.

According to the bookies, Karl Robinson’s side have a chance of making the play-offs this season and it appears they believe that Samir Carruthers could help them to achieve that goal.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been in the reserve seen for a little while now and he even featured in the first team in the latter stages of the 2011-12 season.

He came off the bench on 7th April 2012 and helped Villa to a 1-1 draw with Liverpool.

Manager Paul Lambert stated in a fans’ forum at the beginning of this week that he wanted to send his young stars out on loan so they could gain some first team football and learn what it really means to win a game of football for those who are not worried about their wage packets.

  1. Im alittle sad to see carruthers go out on loan, he has good ability on the ball, an eye for a pass and a flair to his game that is a joy to watch, todays modern footballers need an ability to go up and down which is a weeker point to his game and tonev now looks set for his position had he of been able to of broken into first team which wont happen now. Tonev looks very good indeed so Paul Lambert appers to have got this right but i felt this was last chance saloon for samir so i can see him moving on next year. He would do well in championship and it would be good for him to get first team football.Good luck Samir. Your a good player keep working.
