According to James Nursey Aston Villa have told Barry Bannan, Nathan Delfouneso and Enda Stevens that they can all leave the club this summer should any offers come in for the trio.
Barry Bannan has fallen out of favour with both the manager and supporters at Villa Park despite featuring in 24 league games at Villa Park last season.
The Scotland International has failed to live up to his early potential, and has even been in trouble away from the club.
Nathan Delfouneso is another player with early potential that has failed to make the step up to the Premiership. He spent last season on loan at Paul Ince’s Blackpool.
Enda Stevens was signed in 2012 by then manager Alex McLeish and just like the other two has failed to make an impact on the first team. There is talk of him returning to Shamrock Rovers.
Younès Belhanda
The transfer rumour that would see Younès Belhanda sign for Aston Villa has been coming and going all summer and despite Sky Sports Pete Colley and the Birmingham Mail’s Mat Kendrick both ruling out a move for the French international the rumour just wont go away.
A lot of so called ‘respected’ French journalists insist that the winger has held talks with Villa and favours a move to the Premiership over a move to Abu Dhabi-based Al Jazira.
I personally cant see this happening but eh? what do i know?

Would be a very good signing but to be honest if he is even thinking about going to The UAE then he only wants money. Hopefully he wants to play to win and not for the money and if he does want to play to win then hopefully we sign him!
Would be happy to see the three mentioned leave – never thought Bannan had the all round game to work for us; I’ve never really seen anything special with the Fonz; and we only need two left backs, especially with Clark, Baker and Delph able to cover there in worst case scenario.
I would love to see Belhanda come in if he is the type of player that the reports suggest (I have never seen him). We desperately need a proper midfielder that can play in front of Westwood and Delph and link up to (hopefully) Tekkers.
Belhanda, Murphy, re-sign Tekkers and get all of the hangers on out and it will have been a huge summer for us.
What an absolute joke, the most technical player at the club, what a way to treat a player who has been at the club for 10years,joke
I think it is in the best interest of both parties that the three mentioned left. They are not going to get games here, and to keep them just to sit in the stands while waiting for a place on the bench is not right. I believe Bannan is technically exceptional and has a good pass in him, but he has weaknesses that must be considered (particularly his below average tackling ability). I would love to see him succeed at another club.
As for Belhanda, could it be that we were put off by his wage request? Perhaps that would explain why we were heavily linked initially only for the club to seem certain that we wont do business to get him anymore. Perhaps we are playing hardball with his agent. I am just speculating though. Whatever the case, I trust our management to make the right call and if they say no go for belhanda, then I won’t be disappointed.
Sorry Alfie but I have to disagree with you. The very fact that he has had 10 years at the club shows how much the club rate him but he just ain’t fulfilled his early promise, He has been given long enough to prove himself. I saw him play at youth level and was bangin on about him to everyone so I’m really disappointed that he ain’t made it. maybe a fresh start could be the kick up the arse he needs. Good luck to him
Sorry alfie but 10 years is a huge investment from the club and if Bannan can’t return that then it’s time for him to go. Personally i think he should have been shown the door a couple of years ago cos it was obvious at that stage that he didn’t have what it took to make it at the top level. He’s just another one, like Andy Read, who has the technical ability but not the head for playing at the top level. as for the others i’m not surprised Fonz being linked with wolves cos i reckon league one is his proper level. I hope stevens does’t go back home but tries his luck at another english club, he’s shown potential at time and would like to see him get a run in a team to see if he an make it.
