It has been confirmed this afternoon that Dafabet has been confirmed as the official kit sponsor for the next two seasons.
As part of the agreement, the Dafabet logo will feature on the home and away Villa shirts and the company will enjoy a host of sponsorship benefits.
Villa Chief Executive Paul Faulkner stated:
“We’re pleased to announce our partnership with Dafabet,”
“There is a real sense of excitement, anticipation and optimism as we look forward to the new season, building on the solid foundations we have in place.
“This will be a good and positive partnership for the Club and we are looking forward to working together with Dafabet as we continue to build and move the Club forward.
“Crucially for us, during negotiations Dafabet displayed a strong willingness to work with us in our continued support for Acorns and we look forward to progressing some ideas around that in the near future.”
It is unknown exactly what the deal is worth to the club and I know most people would of preferred Acorns or Stiliyan Petrov’s leukemia charity but we must remember that the board are trying to turn Aston Villa into a profit making company once again so kit sponsorship is vital.

whooooooo??????
Never heard of them, but I’m guessing that’s the reason that they’ve decided to get a shirt sponsor!
I heard that we we’re trying to get a £20M per year deal struck up, but I very much doubt that we will be getting that much, hopefully in the £5-8M per year region though
Their website isnt even up yet!!!
http://www.asianbge.com/ is the company BristolVilla.
pathetic. cheap sponsor for our cheap club. wont be buying the shirt for the next two years then…
not that i was happy with Genting Casino, but at least it didn;t have the word ‘bet’ in their name. looks so cheap, like west ham and their sbobet. a joke.
i like to think of our club as having some integrity. this is only a step away from the payday loans companies in my opinion.
not buying a shirt because of the sponsor is ridiculous – at the end of the day, we are getting a decent amount of money, £5-8M according to rich, which we can hopefully spend on some decent players.
Rather be sponsored by the word Casino than the word Bet? (which offers Casino, Sportsbook and Poker) How hypocritical. infinitely better than payday loans companies.
how is it a ridiculous reason not to buy a shirt? you say yourself ‘infinitely better than payday loans’ – so would you mind if the sponsor was Wonga or not?
yes casino isn’t really any better than a betting company, but at least it wasn’t a particularly intrusive design, you didn’t really notice it was there. Whenever i saw West Ham with their extremely ugly sponsor ‘sbobet’, and others like bet365 (stoke), 21bet (wigan) i felt grateful we didn’t stoop so low.
I’ve just seen the kit – to my eyes, dafabet is the first thing you notice (great for dafabet).
I take your point about the financial side of it, and of course, sadly that is the most important part of it. But personally I’m interested in the aesthetics as well as the ‘ethics’ of the shirt. Basically I like shirts that have an appeal for more than one season.
Some sponsors add character – Muller was fun, Mita Copiers still looks good, Rover had a touch of class to it. Other clubs: Samsung for Chelsea, Chang for Everton. Also West Brom’s No Smoking shirt from the 80s is awesome. Most of our sponsors have been two-bit companies that nobody will want to be reminded of down the line, think CDWS, 32red, fxpro and NTL(!). Now we can add dafabet to the list.
