Keinan Davis departed from Aston Villa today as he joined Serie A side Udinese in a deal said to be worth around £2 million. He signed a four-year deal with the Italian side.
It’s the end of a nine-year spell at the club for the 25-year-old striker who never really managed to nail down a position in the first team.
Davis made 87 appearances, scoring 7 goals during his time with the club.
In recent years he has had loan spells with Nottingham Forest and Watford. His time with the Reds was considered a success as he helped them win promotion back to the Premier League but they opted not to make his loan spell permanent.
The striker has been linked with many Championship clubs throughout the summer, most recently with Hull City but he has opted to move overseas.
Udinese have ties with Watford, where he was on loan last season so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him turn up in the Championship at some stage in the future with the Hornets.
