West Midlands and East Midlands come together tomorrow when Aston Villa host Brendon Rodgers and his Leicester City at Villa Park.
It feels like five minutes ago when I was writing the last match preview. Games this time of the year come thick and fast.
Dean Smith will be hoping his side can build on their home form this season following two games on the road against Man Utd and Chelsea. Villa has picked up 11 of their 15 points at Villa Park so far this season.
It won’t be easy though as Leicester are very impressive on the road. Only three sides in the Premier League can boast a better away return of their 13 points. And if it wasn’t hard enough for Villa, Leicester are currently on an 8 match winning run in all competitions.
Smith will know they have their work cut out but we have proved already this season that we can mix it with the big boys and hopefully we can turn one of the impressive performances into all three points.
Villa are hopeful that Anwar El Ghazi will be available for selection. He missed the Chelsea defeat due to a knee injury he picked up at Old Trafford but should return to training today.
Full-back Frederick Guilbert will most likely return to the team after missing the Chelsea game with suspension.
Keinan Davis is expected to return to training in the next two weeks so should be available for selection in the new year.
Leicester are hopeful that Ben Chilwell will be available for selection. The England International missed their game against Watford in mid-week with a hip problem.
Demarai Gray should be available after recovering from the flu.
