5 Pubs at Wembley Stadium

Aston Villa has been allocated the ‘West Side’ at Wembley Stadium for this weekends game against Fulham and if you are one of the lucky 40,000 fans to have a ticket then the chances are you will want to enjoy the occasion and have a pre-match bevvy or two.

We have put together a list of 5 pubs below that Villa fans will be able to drink in.

THE GREEN MAN

The Green Man, WembleyWithout a doubt, The Green Man is the most popular pub on the West Side of Wembley Stadium. With a 1/2 an acre beer garden, marque and barbeque on the go, it is very easy to see why it is popular with supporters.

The pub is a 5-minute walk from the stadium at the top of Wembley Hill with fantastic scenic views of Wembley Stadium and its surrounds.

Based on past experience, I would arrive very early as they do stop entrance once the grounds are full as you would expect.

Parking is available here but you are advised to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Rates range from £10-£25. Phone 0844 836 7389 for more information.

Full address: Dagmar Avenue, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 8DF.

J.J. MOONS

J.J.Moons is about a 20-minute walk to Wembley Stadium and is everything you would expect from a Wetherspoons pub.

They have a licensed outdoor area, free wifi and often show what every game is live on BT Sports. The pub opens at 8 am and remains open until midnight.

Full address: 397 High Road, Wembley, London, HA9 6AA.

THIRSTY EDDIES

Thirsty Eddies is a 15-minute walk from the Stadium and is a small Irish bar on the High Road.

Those who have visited on match days have often commented that they are understaffed and it is quite difficult to get served. Personally, on my last experience, I went after a game and didn’t have any problems what so ever and it is only a short walk to the tube station.

THE ARCH

The Arch, WembleyThe Arch is quite a modern pub with a beer garden and is a 10-minute walk from Wembley Stadium.

It is described as being bright and spacious but offers enough cosy corners to escape in. They offer an Indian dining experience and an outdoor beer garden.

Not only is it a pub but they also have 14 en-suite rooms so should you be looking to stay in Wembley, it may be the perfect place for you. Parking is not available on match days so be wary of this should you decide to drive down.

Full address: 324 Harrow Road, Wembley, HA9 6LL.

FLANNERY’S

Flannery’s is another Irish pub and is a 20-minute walk from Wembley stadium.

The staff are said to be very friendly and will go the extra mile for you providing you treat them with respect.

There isn’t much space outside so isn’t ideal should you fancy a beer garden. It said to be away from the hustle and bustle so you should be able to avoid large ques for a drink.

Full address: 610-612 High Road, Wembley, HA0 2AF

Feel free to share any further pubs you recommend in the comments section below and let us hope we will all be raising a glass following a win the weekend.
