Welcome to the second Opposition View of the 2010-11 season where we will talk to 21 year old Geordie fan Nathan Hull from the NUFC-Forum.

Tell us a little about yourself: I’m an Electrical Estimator, like a good beer, go the gym, any footy whether playing or watching, most sports and dance music and I live with my girlfriend of 4 years.

Why do you support Newcastle United and how long have you supported them: Supported them since I was about 6 or 7, my mam’s family come from Stanley Co.Durham, although I was brought up in Newmarket. I got a NUFC shirt one Christmas many years ago and have followed them ever since.

After relegation and a season in the Championship, how do you fancy your chances this season: Hmmm it’s a tough one. If we get another couple of signings in in the right areas I’m quietly confident of finishing between 13th-16th. If not then I predict a massive struggle, fans getting impatient, players falling out, Hughton getting grief and us struggling to get 17th!

Mike Ashley has been in the press for all the wrong reasons in the past, what is the general view of your chairman at this moment in time: Most still seem to hate him, my feelings towards him are pretty much just indifferent. He needed to sort the finances, wage bill, entire club structure really. People seem to forget how badly run we were and we could quite easily have, “Done A Leeds” or a Pompey. All that said he still should speculate to accumulate and try and recruit some decent players. I question whether he’s here for the long haul or to just make a quick buck and sell it to the highest bidder once we are back on an even keel.

Who are your current and all time favourite players: Favourite ever player was Tino Asprilla, the bloke was mad as a hatter and so unpredictable. Great to watch as a young lad, just a shame he didn’t stay longer, cult hero that man, absolutely love him. Not many I’m too keen on in the current squad, but Jose Enrique is probably our best player and my current favourite, closely followed by Peter Lovenkrands, who seems a down to earth genuine guy.

If you could sign any villa player who would it be and why: John Carew, as I have always liked him since his Valencia days, seems a decent pro and a nice guy as well, fans favourite for you I guess? Cuellar would do well for us as well, our defence aint the best!

How would you rate Aston Villa on a whole: I never minded them in the past, been quite a few times as my cousin lives in Erdington. If I’m honest I have a bit of a bitter taste from the way certain fans seemed to love sending us down, but I’ve always liked Birmingham and most Brummies/Villa fans I’ve spoken to have been decent people and very sociable.

Are there any youngsters coming through the ranks at St James Park worth keeping an eye out for: Not any that I think will amount to anything special, but Tamas Kadar is a fairly composed looking centre back for his age, Harris Vuckic is destined for big things apparently, although I’m yet to see him do anything amazing, and Nile Ranger could become a good centre forward for a bottom half Premiership club.

As you know we are currently without a manager, who do you think could come in and take Villa to the next level: Tricky one really, If I were a Villa fan I would want someone like Jol, but unsure whether he would leave Ajax. Or maybe even keep McDonald(spelling) if he does ok for you, not a great fan of the cheap caretaker route, but Hughton has won me round, even if he is a bit tactically naive.

And finally what’s your prediction: I’ll go for a optimistic 1 each. Carroll and Ashley Young with the goals. If we can contain the pace throughout your side by slowing the game down and not get caught cold on the counter, we should have an ok chance.
