Stuart Taylor was signed from Arsenal in 2005 for £1million to provide competition to then number one goalkeeper Thomas Sorenson.
However, Taylor has struggled to hold down a first team position and is known as the second choice goalkeeper at Villa Park.
Before Aston Villa

Stuart Taylor joined Arsenal in 1997 as a youth player and was sent out on loan to four(4) different clubs. He only managed to play 30 times for Arsenal though as he was often considered there second or third choice goalkeeper at the club.
He enjoyed loan spells at Bristol Rovers, Crystal Palace, Peterborough and Leicester City. Arsene Wenger always stated he would of liked Taylor to stay at the club but couldnt guarentee him first team football.
International

Stuart Taylor only got capped 3 times for the England U-21 team.
He was also part of the England U-20 side, at the Fifa World Youth Championships and played alongside the likes of Ashley Cole and Peter Crouch.
