As you approach Birmingham via the M6 and then the A34 you can't but look at the biggest football stadium in the Midlands, Villa Park.
It stands tall above the rest of Aston, and it so easy to find. Below we have put together some ways you can get to and how you can travel to the ground. |
Directions.
Exit the M6 at junction 6 onto the A38 (M) Aston expressway. Take the first exit right onto Victoria Road. At the roundabout, take the right exit into Whitton road, for Villa park.
Public Transport
Villa Specials
Aston Villa run 4 bus's from four different locations around the midlands, allowing fans direct transport to and from there homes. The services include
Tamworth (AV1), Solihull (AV2), Redditch (AV3) and Bromsgrove (AV4).
You will then be dropped off outside Witton Station. The bus will then collect passengers adjacent to the Holte pub in Witton Lane, 30 minutes after the game, and return travellers to their original stops.
The price of a Villa Special return is £3.00 (no concessions).

Rail
From Birmingham New Street Station, change for Witton or Aston. This is a local service and takes about 5 minutes to reach Aston station, from where the ground in about a 10 minute walk.
A further 3 minutes on the train is Witton, which is closer to Villa Park. Just make sure your train is going to Witton as not all trains go to Witton Station.
| Bus
The No. 7 is the bus that goes closest to Villa Park. You normally catch it outside the McDonalds on the High Street in the city centre. It's about a 5 minute walk from the train station and will stop at Trinity Road or Witton Island.
You can also catch the 102 or 104, as these will drop you on Lichfield Road about 10 minutes away from the ground. |

Car Parking
Most of the street parking around Villa Park is restricted to permit holders only.
The two main car parks are located at the Aston Villa Leisure Centre on Aston Hall Road, and the Brookvale Road car park. Usually for around £5 per car.
There are also various pubs around the grounds that will allow car parking. They include The Aston Hotel (£6+) and The Yew Tree (£5).
There is a coach park opposite the ground for Away fans, and they do also tend to allow travelling fans park here as long as your arrive before the road is closed of (usually 1-2 hours prior to kick off).
