MON is going to love coming back to VP. On the exterior he always comes across as cool and calm..but you can bet your mortgage that inside he will be boiling and wanting to turn us over, this time on the pitch.
Moral at VP has to be rock bottom and like others I forsee another dire performance and at best a draw. And only a draw because Peever will be there.

I've been worried about this fixture since he took over and now it's this important I'm really really worried.
The least we should get is a draw, will be interestIng to seethe Gardner brothers against each other. I think Craig will let him score one to save us, we all know that he's actually villa and the blue nose story only. Amenout to win fans over.

Gardners are villa fans, Gardners are villa fans!!

what worries me is mon knows some of our players inside and out, he coached them and will know how to stop them, mcleish has no idea about mons players and is not a football tactition, thats why i predict a loss for us.

thankfully Sunderland are not a top 6 side ---so surely to goodness we wont hold them in too much awe??? will we?-- and play some attacking football surely??

coz a defeat at home on Saturday simply will not do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't realise Wigan beat arsenal. We have to win against sunderland.

If Mctit sets up to defend I'm driving up the m5 to personally kick him in the balls.

Well we are at home, so doesnt bode well to begin with.

MONs return also makes it that little bit more difficult for us, in that he wants to show us what we have been missing and he will most definetley have his team fired up.

With Wigan now right up our arseholes after their well deserved win tonight aswell, we have to get a win and draw in the next 2 games to make us as good as safe, but i just dont see it being that easy.

Zog has to start for me, wether it pays off or not we have to go at them and have as much attacking threat as possible.

Dont know if Albrighton is ready so i say give Carruthers a shot too, just for much needed width.

C'mon Villa, give us something to cheer and 3 points along with it, please!!!

I don't think we can count on Craig Gardner doing us - or even his baby bro - any favours.

MON would be looking for a win this weekend regardless of the opposition. That it's us just gives him added incentive. He's a smarter cookie than McLeish, that's for sure, and as Roger said knows many of our players well.

McLeish bashing aside, some of the players need to start showing some desire to win. Get Carruthers on for a half decent length of time 'cause he's hungry and wasn't daunted by Man Utd so unlikely to be fazed by Sunderland. Lions need to prey on the Black Cats from the off - they simply need to be fiercer, faster and hungrier.

Hopefully, fans know the score and will be behind Villa all the way because the team needs all the help it can get at the minute.
