I like Gabby but i think he has alot more to learn personally. I've noticed how he goes missing at times, he has bursts off quality and then goes off the boil, the opening game against City i thought he was rather average for 80 minutes, but class for 10 minutes scoring a hat-trick. Just need to concentrate for 90 minutes..

QUOTE
Agbonlahor shrugs off Villa cat calls
Aston Villa frontman Gabby Agbonlahor has shrugged off the criticism he received at the weekend from sections of the Villa Park crowd.

There were cheers when Agbonlahor's number was held up at Villa Park, with the player substituted in the second half of Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Tottenham.

Villa's loss of form of late has coincided with a barren run in front of goal for Agbolahor, although O'Neill was critical of those supporters that turned on their own player.

While his manager fumed at the treatment he received, Agbonlahor insists it is water off a duck's back and has vowed to prove his detractors wrong between now and the season's close.

"If you look at last season, it was the same then," he told the Express and Star.

"The goals will come, they always do. I'm not worried at all to be honest.

"We have been unlucky the last few games. I think people forget the number of goals I have scored. It really doesn't bother me what people say."

Good for you Gabby ...i have said that you aint the finished article yet but we know you can do it and in fairness Gabby was hampered playing a lone role upfront....ok he aint hit the back of the net but to say even his goal drought has coincided with this is a bit harsh too...His form dipped when we brought Heskey, Heskey was so-called brought to create and the 3-4 chances gabby has had aint been created by heskey....We all know gabby will score and come good we all know Heskey dont score and aint done much since his arrival barr score against Pompey...So i say Lay off Gabby

tbh no he hasnt, ever since heskey arrived we seem to have lost form. I say go back to Carew and Gabby upfront for the liverpool game, or maybe carew up front alone because i think gabby needs a break to regain form.

HE IS NOT HERE TO SCORE GOALS!!!

And he has done more work since he has arrived than Gabby and Carew all season. Maybe hard work doesnt mean everything, but it helps especially when on a bad run of form like we are.
