Ireland Update:

Ireland has been playing through the pain barrier in recent weeks with hip and hamstring problems.

After sitting out Saturday's draw at West Brom, the Irishman insists he is now fit and raring to go again.

"I've been carrying a hip problem for three or four weeks now and was playing through it," he added.

"But last week I was suffering with the hip and had a bit of a sore hamstring so I had two injuries.

"They said with two games coming so quickly they said it was best that I sit out one of them so I was on the bench at West Brom.

"I'm back now, I'm fit and ready to go.

"It is frustrating but I've been carrying it for three or four games and not playing one hundred per cent fit.

"I was just doing my best for the team. But there came a point where I just had to miss a game, and with them coming Tuesday-Saturday there wasn't enough time to get me ready and thought it was better if I was a substitute."

Lets see if the Knobjockey can earn the money he has been paid for the last 2 seasons (7 million quid or so) and help us to safety

“Each smallest act of kindness, reverberates across great distances and spans of time --affecting lives unknown to the one who’s generous spirit, was the source of this good echo. Because kindness is passed on and grows each time it’s passed until a simple courtesy becomes an act of selfless courage, years later, and far away. Likewise, each small meanness, each expression of hatred, each act of evil.”

Ireland and Collins are both fit for Sunday. Albrighton probably won't play again this season.

Im beginnng to wonder what the hell they put these players through in training to get so many injuries. No other clubs seem to have THIS much trouble?

you expect to pick up injuries through the season, we do seem to have picked up aour fair share, may be we feel it more because we have a small squad.

we picked up another 3 yesterday.

weimann out with knee medial ligaments after his clash with freidal. 6 weeks should give him a good rest ready for next season.

heskey after his clash with sandro. should be fit for norwich hopfully.

hutton only bruising to the shin. just watched the replay of the rose challenge. he went straight over the top of the ball and cant believe huttons leg did'nt break in two.

Actually thought Hutton was having a decent game yesterday-

-----reckon he,s a very lucky lad not to have a broken leg,cos that "tackle" as you say was right over the top,and was a leg snapper if i ever saw one,
