Roary 20
The Reds are keen to find a winger to supply the ammunition for £35 million man Andy Carroll and had set their sights on Aston Villa's Ashley Young. But with Young likely to join Manchester United, Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has turned his attention to another Villa and England star. According to the News of the World, Downing is aware of the interest from Anfield and would welcome the chance to move. The former Middlesbrough star would cost Liverpool around £10 million, but Arsenal are also set to make a move for the 26-year-old when the transfer window opens. Roary 20
If we are to sell him, I'd expect at least 20-25M // AVillaFan 2009/10 FA Cup Winner // AVillaFan 2010 Community Shield Winner // AVillaFan 2010 World Cup 3rd Place Winner
Loyalvillan 585
This story is utter tosh!! Downing has already publicly stated he is remaining at Villa even if we were to be relegated! He seems to be showing some loyalty to a club that stood by him for a season while recovering from his injury! And the price quoted was 10 million?? that shows what a joke this story is!! worth at least 18 to 20 “Each smallest act of kindness, reverberates across great distances and spans of time --affecting lives unknown to the one who’s generous spirit, was the source of this good echo. Because kindness is passed on and grows each time it’s passed until a simple courtesy becomes an act of selfless courage, years later, and far away. Likewise, each small meanness, each expression of hatred, each act of evil.”
Apollo 167
The papers seem to love upsetting the Villa camp and supporters you can guarantee a Blue nose :censored: wrote this story !
avfc85 130
It's laughable Downing has a longer contract so Villa call the shots so as if Learner is going to sell a player for less than he paid for especially when he is an England International and has been a regular performer this season. Peever 238
If the papers are going to lie they could atl east make up some more realistic numbers  Someone netting goals, and international as well and we would take LESS than we paid? Get real
