ancelotti would go to west ham over villa IMO, he loves london and lets say he got offered villa OR west ham he would stay and attempt to get them up rather than move to birmingham, majority for foreign footballers/managers will favour london simply for the profile. very few of our players live in birmingham, its not like it was 10-15 years ago when most of them lived on a couple of exclusive roads in four oaks or little aston...

im sure ive already said in this very topic that it needs to be done ASAP, we should already know the definative future of Houllier and be acting to either replace him or doing deals to build his squad, it will be a dissaster if in 3/4 weeks news breaks that Houllier has called time on his management career and as such villa are now franticly searching for a new manager to come in.

in this situation as it stands now, are we going to be in the market for transfers? free or otherwise, will we listen to bids for certain players? allow players to talk to clubs if a fee has been agreed? what will happen IF houllier does leave and the new guy doesnt like any players we bought, wanted to keep players we've sold/released? the uncertainty cant be good for the players already at the club so how do we expect to attract new players?

As I have said many a times, our current squad have always played as individuals, often give the ball to someone, then expect them to do something fantastic with it, they never play give and goes, but where this does sound like the way to go, beware, remember what happened this year with most of those kids in the team, straight to the bottom of the league.

Where as we all have high hopes for Bannan after watching Barca, the kid is obviously on a different level to most of our players when passing and moving, and where Barca is full of midgets, this only works because the whole team are gifted enough to keep the ball away from their opponents, something we are truly miles from doing, so this is why the likes of Bannan will struggle, only when we have a team capable of retaining the ball, will we see the true potential of our kids....

Disagree with what you have said about Ancelotti he is an intelligent man who would weigh up the pro's and cons about which club to join rather than base it like some chavvy football player and stay in the bright lights of London. We can be assured currently Villa have a lot more to offer than West Ham. When you talk about profile he would be at a Club in the top flight which gets a lot more coverage abroad than the Championship. The money Ancelotti would be on I'm sure he would find somewhere nice in Birmingham anyway just my thoughts!

Ancelotti would go to London imo. Stayed in Milan and then London with Chelsea cant see him coming to live in Birmingham
