avstu 262
Paul Scholes inspired Manchester United to a clinical display to earn a 3-1 victory over Chelsea in the Community Shield at Wembley. Antonio Valencia scored the opening goal in the first half before setting up summer signing Javier Hernandez for a freakishly fortuitous second after half-time, while Dimitar Berbatov scored a magnificent third after Salomon Kalou's consolation. But the plaudits of the perennial season curtain-raiser should also go to United veteran Scholes as the 35-year-old delivered a vintage display to dictate the midfield at Wembley. Big win for United even if they both regard it as a nothing game. How many subs were aloud in this game though? And how funny was Hernandez's goal fluky c**t "Winning isn't everything, but it beats anything that comes in second." - Paul Bryant

rogerstan 143
Lol funny cus it wasn't going anywhere. I'd say its much bigger than the peace cup yes and what made it bigger is because niether side wanted to lose to the other, to much pride in it to just give away, and now for awhile the manure fans have the bragging rights. lol
