Larry-AV 123
SPL (SPFL1), Wednesday 12/08/2020 : Rangers 3-0 St Johnstone Another comfortable win, that puts Rangers top of the SPL. The goals came from Barisic (superb free kick), Kent and in the 2nd half, Aribo. However, there was still a lot of the back and sideways passing, although this time away from our box. SG in his post-match interview was not happy about this dithering play either. Larry-AV 123
14/08/2020 : This farce at Heart of Midlothian's training ground (Hull City can train there but Hearts cannot), is a result of decisions made by the Scottish football authorities. Whether 'corrupt' or not, their reputation for incompetence remains undimmed. Until Rangers start taking 3 points from these games consistently we cannot and do not deserve anything. We consistently struggle to break down teams who sit deep, IMO this has been a constant problem that SG has failed to solve, and appears unable to solve. Some commentators have stated that Rangers are playing in the 'Liverpool' way, through the centre, Mark. From what I have seen of our games, that is true in part, but wing play is also used. I think SG does know the root cause of the problem, too many touches/passes when faster and more direct play is required. The problem is getting our players to do this ! Regarding the Opposition, I am surprised Dimitri has not posted about their result from yesterday (he is probably too busy setting up his Scottish Soviet Socialist Republic !).
