Larry-AV 123
Europa League Group D Round 2, Thursday 29/10/2020, : Rangers 1-0 Lech Poznan I had an EMail telling me our match was on BT Sport 3 ... which is where I had first looked, but it was not listed then. Been watching the match since the EMail (shortly after KO), but I take nothing back about PPV though ! Rangers were poor in the 1st half and in the 2nd too, until the substitutions on 60', afterwhich we had more of the attacking dominance we expect from Rangers. Sub Morelos scored the winner from Barasic's excellent cross. Update from Group H, Thursday 29th October : Lille 2-2 Celtic Edited October 29, 2020 by Larry-AV Update. I trust any superstitions will be banished and that Rangers' 8 game winning run since the draw at Hibernian (4 SPL, 4 Europa), continues. Larry-AV 123
SPL (SPFL1), Sunday 01/11/2020 : Kilmarnock 0-1 Rangers With both Rangers and AVFC playing from 12:00 today I followed both games online on three tabs (Twitter and both SSN live commentaries) plus Sportsound for Rangers and SSN at half time and full time for both games. This win from Tavernier's 1st half penalty puts Rangers 9 points clear, but even without seeing the play it seems we eased off and let Kilmarnock back into this game, risking a draw or (another) defeat on the plastic pitch by so doing. Larry-AV 123
Europa League Group D Round 3, Thursday 05/11/2020 : Benfica 3-3 Rangers A result we would have welcomed pre-match, but not so satisfactory post-match, considering Rangers had gone from 0-1 down to 3-1 up. For the record, it was a Goldson OG (nothing he could have done about it) then a Benfica OG with Kamara's well placed shot delivering a 1st half lead, which Morelos added to in the 2nd half. Rangers had other chances too, but Benfica scored twice to level the score, their leveller from a breakaway in the last minute. Larry-AV 123
SPL (SPFL1), Sunday 08/11/2020 : Rangers 8-0 Hamilton Academical This was an excellent match and result with goals from Arfield, Aribo 2, Roofe 2, Tavernier 2 and Barker. The words used today were relentless and ruthless, both of which truly described a professional performance that respected our opponents whilst simultaneously outplaying them. With GD in mind we have often criticised Rangers for not scoring more goals in games similar to this, but there should be no complaints today ... I hope !
