Absolutely, we seem to be 'penny pinching' unfortunately as the transfer window nears it's end prices will only go up not down. If we have identified a player we need to pay the price and get it

Benrahma?, I'd like to see him sign but think Brentford need to lower their expectations regarding the fee.  I'd prefer Harry Wilson as the additional attacker.  But definitely need to add some better

Barkley should add bite to the midfield and he,s not afraid to have a go at goal should fit in well especially with Jack and SJM another welcome addition .

Strewth we sure are building -can only be a good thing-no relegation scrap this season.

I don't watch many games as a neutral so I can't judge him on his performances  for Chelsea last season.

So maybe unfairly  I have some reservations about signing a "name" deemed not good enough to be in the Chelsea squad.

But if he comes with the determination to get his career back on track the increased competition for places is no bad thing, so welcome to Villa Park  Ross and please prove me wrong.

Sensational signing for Villa, expectations rising.  UTV

Have to agree. A signing i am very excited by.

Rumours we are in talks with a 'major' agent also regarding a player.

Really impressed with this signing .  I don't think we would could really bring in a higher caliber player then this.

Midfield looks really strong and I can't wait to see him in action.

Going by what Smith said, it would suggest we are done unless some players move on which I doubt very much.

Hope he's bluffing because our subs bench is very thin in quality.

Rome wasn’t built over night. It will take time
