'Dear friends and supporters,' started Cowans. 'In an attempt to stop speculation and misinformation about my health, I have decided to release the following statement. 'After a series of recent tests, I have been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's Disease. Medication has been prescribed, with some life changes, which I intend to commit to fully, the prognosis is a good one. dorset lion 391 Posted March 9, 2020 Share Posted March 9, 2020 Very sad news though we read from time to time that advances have been made in treating if not actually curing this cruel illness if caught early, so I hope that Sid can enjoy life for many years yet. One of the greatest players to ever wear the shirt, it was an honour to meet him in the Addies a few years back after all those years of the absolute pleasure in watching him play.
