EPL (Premier League), Thursday 26/12/2019 : Aston Villa v Norwich City, KO 15:00 hours.

24/12/2019 : A much better performance is required from AVFC on Boxing Day than we witnessed against Southampton.
I am hoping for the best.

Prediction (in Prediction League), made today : Aston Villa 2-1 Norwich City

AVFC RFC SAFC

Needs to be something today. Southampton felt like Bruce was back.

I do worry about Smith's lack of plan B.

I was looking at the options available to DS and they are very limited.

He can either bring Trezeguet or Kodjia in and that's it realistically.

Poor recruitment, we went in to the season at least a striker light.

Now were left looking down the barrel.

I don't believe he has a Plan A, never mind a Plan B, he could also do with making substitutions before were 3-0 down and the game lost.

I would change the system. You shouldnt be playing your best player out wide. I would line up with something like this:

Taylor ----- Konsa ----- Engels ----- Elmohamaddy

Hourihane ----- Marvelous

Kodjia ----- Grealish ----- El-Ghazi

Wesley

I would certainly reinstate Konsa, was surprised to see him omitted from the Southampton game.

And it seems obvious to me we need to play a system which works around playing Grealish (our best player) in the most effective manner, to help him impact the game.

The only reason why i think he was dropped was due to Smith liking a right and left footer at the back

As already said, a must win. Those teams above us aren't going to stay within reach for much longer.
