With liverpool set to put a young side out, anything but a win could see a real negative backlash from the fans.

Apparently it wasn't too pleasent on Saturday amongst a minority.

Cant get up for this one we will be damned if we win-playing a made up Liverpool side -and damned if we dont, for the same reason!!

Obviously i want a win--but have to confess 3 points against Saints is more of a priority to me.

League Cup Round 5 (QF), Tuesday 17/12/2019 : Aston Villa v Liverpool, KO 19:45 hours, SKY.

16/12/2019 : Although Liverpool have been forced to field a 'weakened' side, to accomodate the demands of FIFA's 'Club Championship' in Qatar, I nevertheless think this will be a tough fixture for AVFC. Despite this I have predicted a win, as the match requires a result and I do not predict against AVFC.

Prediction (in Prediction League), made today : Aston Villa 2-1 Liverpool

As a Liverpool fan I am looking forward to the match. Villa park is a great ground for a cup tie. I have always experienced a good atmosphere when we play Villa in the cup.

Worried about the result. If Villa put out a strong team fearing a very heavy defeat. The only negative is that all our tickets 6,000 were quickly sold out , didn’t even go to a general sale,  and I won’t be there.

lets hope it’s a great game for all.

Impressive following for the youngsters in fairness.

No excuses not to win this one, I don't think this side can even be compared with Wolves team which had serious players like Cutrone and other players who are in and around the starting 11 in the side.

Like I said in all of the previous rounds a win is a win and no harm for our fragile confidence.

No one situation if villa win we should beat liverpools youth/reserve team, if we lose..........

As Freddie said I'm more interested in getting 3 points against Southampton.

Congratulations Villa hope you go on win it. Thought the young reds did well , the second goal killed the game from the reds point of you.

i was impressed with the the respect your players showed to our young reds when they were injured.

happy Xmas, and hope you stay up.

Allez Allez Allez.

League Cup Round 5 (QF), Tuesday 17/12/2019 : Aston Villa 5-0 Liverpool

Job done ... 'men against boys' it will be said, but the main thing is that AVFC avoided the obvious banana skin.

Attendance : 30,323 (SSN)
