Man City 3-0 ASTON VILLA

Recommended Posts

Half time 0-0 we could've had something out this game. We've repeatedly left Silva in particular in too much space. The formation is wrong. Luiz hasn't been in the game. Trezeguet once again too wasteful. Wes isn't getting service and isn't doing much either. Grealish too deep again. Exactly the same problems as the beginning I'd the season.

Luiz should have been taken off.  Hourihane appears to work better with Grealish in him supporting him on left.  Appears to me DS didnt expect much from this game and was just damage limitation.  How many times has Villa ended up playing against 10 men?

West ham, Arsenal, Brighton, Man City,

EPL (Premier League), Saturday 26/10/2019 : Manchester City 3-0 Aston Villa

AVFC were too defensive in the 1st half, by which I mean not pressing our attacking options but reverting to SB tactics, passing square and back and with no effective presence up front. We gifted a stupid goal to MC at the start of the 2nd half, their 2nd goal was 'one of those' and went to VAR, only their 3rd goal was a good one, coming out of the confusion generated by a powerful cross-goal pass. Beaten but not disgraced, I think we could have got more out of this game if we had taken the game to MC and not sat back, which just invited their pressure.

Attendance : 54,506 (SSN)

We probably didnt do enough to take anything out of the game but i find myself with the same frustrations.

  • Wesley not being able to hold up a ball when he needs to most.
  • Tyrone Mings lack of concentration causes mistakes.
  • VAR.

EPL (Premier League), Saturday 26/10/2019 : Manchester City 3-0 Aston Villa

27/10/2019 : Now the weekend games are over, here is my analysis. The Form Points are key and AVFC stay above the 40 point mark.

After this result AVFC's total Form Points fell from 46 to 42 ... that is, points after 38 games.
The maximum available is now 95 points, with 84 points left to play for.
AVFC are below par and 15th in the table, with 11 points and GD at -1 from 10 games.
