What do you class as the next big thing tho?

Because Luke & Stefen Moore, Darius Vassell and Gabby Agbonlahor were all tipped to be the next 'big' thing and to be honest only Gabbys come close however his progress dosent seem to be continuing.

Type his name into Youtube and you'll see a few of his reserve matches, hes only 16/17 and hes playin for our reserves, seems just like Frazer Cambell.

tbh all ive heard is that he is better than what gabby was at the same age so hopefully very promising....and i see were Stu is coming from that list comprised of a few players that were gonna be big but flopped so lets wait and see but at the moment i dont see gabby as a flop but he gotta knuckle down and get a bit of that lazyness out of him

he has the potential to be a great name in the english game, gabby will also go on i think, i also wouldnt really say vassell was a 'flop' as such, his career has fell away abit over the last couple of years but tbf he has been unlucky with injuries but 10 or so caps for england 2 major international championships, i wouldnt say thats a player that has flopped, moore brothers on the other hand have to agree they flopped no doubt about it.

Nathan Delfouneso looks good to me. His goal against MSK Zilina was a bullet volley and he is a big strong lad.

So good luck Nathan who is a villa fan (i have heard)!

Took his goal well and was a willing runner would like to see him come off the bench in the prem to see how he would go

Well he may start on Sunday v Everton so it looks like we are going back to 4-4-2

A Leicester told me today that we can keep Fonzy!! says it all really! he has now joined the ranks of the Moore brothers,Julian Joachim and Darren Byfield as Forwards who promised so much but delivered so little!!

Joachim did not start his career at Villa but he still fell short of the mark when at one time he look the real deal!

I disagree Mac. I think Delfouneso has been on the scene for a few years now and has never really looked like a EPL player.

He will just be another 'failed prospect' of the Aston Villa Academy!

Delfouneso hasn't lived up to his promise so time to give young Weimann a proper go and see if he fares any better. He's young and probably as fearless as McClean or Oxlaide-Chamberlain so it's worth a try, surely?

I fully agree with Weimann even though what I have seen of him, he has done nothing to make me think he will do anything but I would be more than happy to be proved wrong.
