Transfer Window Verdict

How would you rate our business in the transfer market this summer?

Are you happy or do you think we may have missed a trick somewhere?

I feel we should have signed another striker.

That’s my only worry. Are we a little light up top. But at the same time we spent £25M on Wesley. If we bought in a proven a striker one of them would have been unhappy playing second fiddle.

Hogan and RHM are both out on loan,Davis and Kodj will i imagine be "back up" for Wesley so presumably Deano is ok with the situation.

Cautiously optimistic. The moneyball approach worries me; I would've preferred more British based players.

One injury up top and we're screwed. It shows a lot of confidence in Kodja - who has never played in the premier league, and Davis - who really isn't a goalscorer.

Overall I think we've replaced who needed to be replaced, got rid of deadwood and bought in pace, power, skill and tenacity. I think we've definitely improved overall. Enough to stay up? Jury is out, we'll know more in 10 games time. When I see the likes of Watford, Palace and Leicester smashing their transfer fees for the likes of Sarr, Praet etc (quality players) it concerns me whether we've been left behind somewhat. But I'm hoping our style of football will surprise most in the league and we'll be ok!

The players released have not been taken on by other PL clubs so it seems that first decision of the summer was right.

We have created competition for every position.

I would have been happier with a another ( prolific ) striker but when asked about that yesterday Smith said he had plenty of goal scorers in the team so he wasn't too concerned.

Davis like Wesley has the ability to bring others into the game and Kodjia, Grealish, McGinn, Hourihane, Al Ghazi, Jota and Trezuget are all capable of scoring on a regular basis.

I'm optimistic but only time will tell how well we have recruited.

Very happy with the recruitment, would have liked another striker and Benrahma but Jota and Davis look good and think need to be tried before we do make additional signings in those positions

Really pleased and cautiously optimistic for a comfortable mid table finish.

Would have liked a winger and striker additionally to what we signed as I feel little thin in these areas if we got a couple of injuries.

Time will tell.

Making some of the loan signings permanent was essential and Smith knows Jota and Konsa from Brentford. While there is a certain risk with the other signings unlike the previous regime I trust the guys at the top know what they're doing.

I'm glad we still have a spine of senior and career British based players like Mings, Grealish, McGinn, Chester, Hourihane and now Heaton. These guys have a huge role to play on and off the pitch with the new players.

After watching Wesley yesterday, he filled me with worry, big bloke that went down at every nudge.
