Very true. Although they have two strikers with more than 20 goals this season.

Their downfall has been similar to us IMO. Their defence.

Keeping them pair quiet,  Gayle in particular,  will be imperative to us getting to the final

looks like its championship again next season, i really can not see us pulling this back, and its only one goal so far.

Play-Off 1, Saturday 11/05/2019 : Aston Villa 2-1 West Bromwich Albion

AVFC came back from a gifted goal with a superb strike from Hourihan and a penalty cooly taken by Abraham. We started the better but went off the boil after WBA's opener, with too much square and back passing. The mystery of this match for me was the virtual disappearance of John McGinn, who hardly got the ball at all.
Anyway, advantage AVFC at half-time in these Play-Offs, let us make the most of it in the 2nd leg. finger-x.jpg

First half we weren't our usual selves. Subs were a big turning point, terrific strike from Hourihane.

Baggies put a lot into that and to come away with nothing and Gayle now suspended is a huge blow.

Still all to play for but we did what we had to today.

"This is not possible. What McGrath is doing is just not possible with the amount of preparation that he's had."

They played for a draw and had the added bonus of being gifted a goal, they can't sit back in the next game, they have a suspect defence and two of their best strikers are suspended....the tie is ours for the taking, whether we take it or not is another matter.

I went to the George Tapps in Bournemouth town centre for the game, sat in front of me were a young couple (the only Albion fans in the place ) when Villa scored the whole place went ape sh*t, must have been 30 of us. We are a giant of a club and its about time we started acting like it on the pitch.
