EFL1 (Championship), Sunday 05/05/2019 : Aston Villa v Norwich City, KO 12:30 hours.

29/04/2019 : This is the last anti-double for AVFC and a resumption of winning ways would be the best way to ensure AVFC concedes no doubles this Season. This match could also be the title decider, as wins for AVFC and Sheffield United (at Stoke City) will see the Blades top the table (on GD) instead of Norwich. This of course means our promoted opponents will still have something to play for on Sunday.

Doubles, for and against, showing AVFC's points gained.
Birmingham    6 - achieved
Bolton Wndrs  6 - achieved
Derby County  6 - achieved
Hull City     4 - failed
Middlesbro    6 - achieved
Rotherham     6 - achieved
Swansea       6 - achieved
Wigan Ath     3 - failed ... big time !!!

Millwall      3 - avoided
Norwich C     0 - avoid this
Q P Rangers   1 - avoided
Sheff Utd     1 - avoided
Sheff Wed     3 - avoided

Smithy more or less confirmed McGinn will be left out of this one, I hope one or two others are as well.

should have been left to rest last sunday, massive risk to have played them when we have such a big do or die game coming up in the play offs.

30/04/2019 : El Ghazi will be available to play, after his Red Card against Leeds was rescinded today. In the same judgement his 'victim', Patrick Bamford, was banned for two matches.

Get the fringe players some game time whilst rolling the likes of mcginn, grealish, Mings and tammy up In cotton wool. Get some of the younger lads in as well. Would like to see both Ramsey and Davis in the 11. Bring the likes of green, el ghazi and kodjia (if fit) on for the last 15 mins to keep them sharp. Villa 1-1 Norwich. UTV.

Apparently new rules state 10 players that were named in the last 18 man match day squad must be involved against Norwich.

This was introduced after Huddersfield played a reserve team against Birmingham a couple of seasons back which Birmingham won and avoided relegation as a result.

Ridiculous rule if you ask me. What's the point in registering 25 players if you can't make as many changes as you want? It's daft.
