Nottingham Forest 1-3 Aston Villa

Recommended Posts

12/03/2019 : Despite the indifferent results of the last 10 games, W 3, D 4, L 3, the run-in still provides the opportunity for AVFC to get a play-off spot and maybe even an automatic promotion spot ... last day drama ?

Aston Villa's final 10 matches, AVFC are 9th in the Table.
Showing our opponents' League positions as at 12/03/2019.
Mar    13    Wed    A    37    Nottm Forest    8th
Mar    16    SAT    H    38    Middlesbro      5th

Apr    19    Fri    A    43    Bolton Wndrs   23rd
Apr    22    Mon    H    44    Millwall       21st
Apr    27    SAT    A    45    Leeds Utd       2nd
May    05    SUN    H    46    Norwich C       1st

We will have to win our games though, the most we have won consecutively so far this Season is 3 games.

Oct    26    Fri    A    15    Q P Rangers    0-1    L
Nov    02    Fri    H    16    Bolton Wndrs   2-0    W
Nov    10    SAT    A    17    Derby County   3-0    W
Nov    25    SUN    H    18    Birmingham     4-2    W
Nov    28    Wed    H    19    Nottm Forest   5-5    D

Currently the winning run is 2 games, there is a long way to go, but we have the opportunity to achieve promotion this Season. The immediate task is to beat and overtake Nottingham Forest, who are 2 points ahead of AVFC.

Prediction (in Prediction League), made today : Nottingham Forest 1-2 Aston Villa

If I was smithy I'd be tempted to drop adomah and whelan for green and McGinn. Only because they could probably do with the break. Either way it'll be a tough game tomorrow, hopefully Joe Lolley don't turn up. Obviously we need all 3 points but I'd be happy with 1, can't fault the lads in the last 2 games. Come on villa.

Just done a league predictor and had us finish 6th, just, level on points with Forest on 72. Been fairly kind to be honest...but I think I was with the others too. Norwich win the league on 98 points, Leeds 2nd 96. We'll see...

Forest - draw

Middlesbrough - win

Blackburn - win

Sheffield Wed - draw

Rotherham - win

Bristol - win

Bolton - win

Millwall - win

Leeds - lose

Norwich - draw

It is the games you expect us to win that we don't usually win. I am just taking one game at a time.

Its in our own hands, keep winning and we will get into the play offs...from 6th down 8 teams separated by 5 points with 30 to play for.

2 Tough games within 4 days---would,nt it be nice to come away with 6 points--tend to agree with Luke reckon a couple could do with having a rest with Albert and Whelan seemingly the more obvious choices,

all who are going have a great and safe night,

Come On You Lions-----lets bring home the bacon again,
