I am fast losing faith in our ability to make the playoffs this season.

I keep hearing from those at the club saying that we still have to play those above us AT VILLA PARK. Well, this is one of those games. I am sick of saying it but it really is time to stand up and be counted.

I wonder if Grealish will return.

I, think that the gap between us and 6th place is beginning to stretch too much---Bristol City and Derby in 6th and 7th are 4 points above but with a game in hand--Boro 5th Albion 4th have 50 points and also a game in hand---so realistically both could end up 10 points in front of us----too f*****g many,-

-we still have to play all 8 teams above--and need to go on a prolonged winning run to have any chance---and quite honestly i dont see this unless Smithy drastically changes the 6 midfield and forward players---a couple to me dont seem interested probably wont be here next season  they know this and are "on the beach"  already---and need to be put out to grass

----the next 2 games are against physical sides and both need beating--but my one fear is if Jack makes a much much needed return he could well get crocked again---referees and  also our own players need to protect the lad.

There is no other way to look at this then a must win. Im sick of playing 1 up front I hate it infact, it was my biggest issue with Bruce. I ain't full of confidence but if we create more for Tammy he'll score. I'm hoping Mings and Elphick keep them out. Come on now villa.

I dont think the right ones are being picked for 1 up front  dont like the system anyway- i,ll be worried  if Smithy dont replace the ones who aint interested now that we have acquired some in the window otherwise us the fans are being swindled and very short changed.

Revenge is needed for that 1-4 drubbing at Bramall Lane hopefully the players will be feeling that way too and with Jack possibly back we may pull off a win.

I actually see a Steve Bruce parallel. Unfortunately.  The only exception is we played some decent football for half a dozen games when Dean Smith arrived, defence excepted.  At the end of the first Steve Bruce season 50 % of us thought his tactics and ability to motivate players at a club our size was very questionable.  Seems to be going same way.  Why Taylor was ever picked again after Wigan shows a lack of respect to the fans witnessing a shirker without hunger.  El Ghazi and Adomah do not exactly fit the same category but contribute nothing whatsoever. Making changes with 14 minutes to go when it had been obvious since the early stages of the first half we weren't gelling.  Then saying we were near the level he expects?????? Scary.  Then Kelly saying after Wigan game that our players 'do want it'; maybe he was on about the wages packet as cannot imagine it was about a desperate desire to win each game.  I would like DS to say, "Quality is not just in the feet, it is in the heart and the head, I am not sure some of these players have that".  Then drop Neil Taylor which implies he is one of them and shames the rest to change there approach.  I am not saying we should sack Dean Smith, but when we hear 'he needs 2-3 windows' it was the same with Martin O'Neil and suddenly a Man City comes along. e.g rules change or owners change or cannot release money.  Did Wolves, Leeds or Norwich need 2-3 windows.  What happens assuming we stay down, when Jack, Tammy and probably McGuinn go, how many players do we need to sign.  My guess is at least 11.  Where does the money come from to rebuild on that scale given FFP  etc.  So you look to the youngsters.  In my opinion players like Mitchell Clarke should have been given games here for  next season.  Then as the inevitably for a 4th season in 2nd tier is realised the fans instead of turning toxic and not renewing season tickets might get the renewed optimism Dean Smith originally generated.  How can  a manager motivate Players to Play scintillating football and then see performances Equivalent to losing the dressing room.  The question is not just about Dean Smith but whether Dean Smith has the right backroom staff and whether John Terry is having an adverse effect, maybe he is reluctant to throw his weight round having played with these last season.  If it was not JT, I am sure more would question his contribution.   I would like the new owners to comment on the performances and results demonstratijng they have empathy with us.  UTV

As good as Tammy is, he has potentially cost us points this season also.

Two sitters on Saturday come to mind. I remember earlier in the season I said he was a score 1 in 4 player. He misses way too many sitters for my liking. I don't mean to come across as knocking him down either.

Will be interesting to see if JG is back
