Recall or not?

Before we splash the cash in January would you look to recall any of the players we currently have recall options on? The list is below (Please note, if they are not listed, we do not have a recall option):

  • Jed Steer (Charlton) 14 App.
  • Tommy Elphick (Hull City) 14 App.
  • Aaron Tschibola (Kilmarnock) 14 App, 1 goal.
  • Andre Green (Portsmouth) 1 App.
  • Easah Suliman (Emmen) - 2 App.
  • Jordan Lyden (Oldham) - 2 App.
  • Mitch Clark (Port Vale) - 20 App.
  • Kelsey Mooney (Cheltenham) - 8 App, 1 goal

Andre Green is the only one I would recall, I think him and Suliman are the only two with any future at the club. Clark possibly.

Green needs games time though. Only played one all season. Suliman is another who seems to be struggling while out on loan. The second loan he has struggled to make an impact.

Clark should never have gone out on loan for me.

Clark is a great versatile player. He should definitely be considered imho. The rest I would leave to get some game time, i hope green turns it on this year at pompey because he shown some potential.

I agree they both need games and seemingly they are not getting them where they are currently. Clark would've been alright to have this season as back up  but ultimately I can't see them making it at Villa. I said Albrighton wasn't good enough for us either so what do I know.

Elphick, we have a severe lack of CBs and it doesn't hurt to have options. I don't think we've ever seen the best of him, he's well regarded down here and in Smith we now have a manager who likes to play more like Howe.

No i wouldn't have any of them back . Its time to move on now , not look back .  Dean Smith is working wonders with Steve Bruce's players at the moment  but i would imagine he is itching to make his own mark on the squad by making one or 2 quality signings in January and also bringing In a keeper like  Tom Heaton in on loan , and possibly Gary Cahill in defence

I wouldn't necessarily recall any of them, purely because most need game time. The ones I see with a future at the club are Green, Clark and Suliman for sure. The rest can be sold off as no good.
