02/10/2018 : There are various reports today that commonsense will prevail over the League Cup Semi-Finals, with one game (probably Celtic v Hearts) being played at Murrayfield. Hopefully both games will have a 15:00 hours KO too.

CELTIC’S Betfred Cup semi-final against Hearts WILL be moved to Murrayfield.

SunSport Online can exclusively reveal that SPFL chiefs have decided to switch the game from Hampden to the home of Scottish Rugby, with a 1.30pm start pencilled in.

The move sees Rangers vs Aberdeen pushed back to a 4:30pm kick-off at Hampden from the original 12pm start to allow Dons fans time to get to Glasgow.

But the news is unlikely to go down well with cup holders Celtic.

As SunSport Online revealed last night, Parkhead chiefs contacted the SPFL saying that they expected a venue choice for the semis to be decided by a draw.

The Hoops board don’t see why they should automatically be shifted to the capital, while Aberdeen vs Rangers takes place in Glasgow.
