This is AVFC it gets me how when were winning its steve bruce claret & blue army but any other time its just claret & blue army. So even if we have no decent players all the steve bruce haters will out voice the pro SB ones.

We are rapidly turning into a basket case of a club, the type of football we'll be playing when we lose our more gifted players will suit Bruces style of play. We will need bruces contacts to get in some loan players again. May as well keep him until his contract runs out in Oct then see how we are doing at that point.

I fear people will turn on Bruce if things don't start well but he could be a steady pair of hands given the serious problems that seem to be unfolding.

It seems we can forget about promotion already which is pretty depressing but the safety of the club is the most important thing going forward.

Can't see Dean Smith or any decent manager taking the job now.

Smith would still take it imo. He’s used to working on shoestring budgets.

I am intrigued to see how Bruce goes moving forward. Does he stick with the sinking ship? Or jump while he can?

Let’s give him the chance then.

yeah why not,  well  not much choice really,  he wants to stay,  we can't afford to sack him and can't afford compensation for poaching someone else's manager either,  like Dean Smith for example.

He should of been sacked at half time at Wembley.

No wonder he was distraught at full time,  he must of had an idea of the financial situation which he contributed to.

Looks like we're going to have to put up with another season of him, we have  no choice but to back him and support him,  hoping for the best.

Be interesting to see if he changes his approach to the game,  with no big money experienced players. It could be different with our younger players playing for the shirt and not the wage packet.

Either way , with administration looming it looks like we will start the season with a 10 or 12 point deduction.

Steve Bruce needs to perform a miracle to keep us in the championship.

League 1 here we come.
