02/08/2018 : SSN have reported today that Chelsea now have an interest in Jack Grealish and their valuation is £20M.

For JG a future at Chelsea would be the same as at Tottenham ... squad player.

I find it strange that there is no real talk of any centre backs coming in. We are desperately short though keeping Chester is a huge bonus.

Freddy I read that as he's for sale, I'll be far happier when I hear somebody say he doesn't want to leave so he's going nowhere.

ASTON VILLA have stole a march on Celtic in the race for John McGinn.

SunSport understands Villa have begun negotiations with Hibs over a deal for £4million-rated McGinn.

Celts have had three failed bids for McGinn, who is poised to head south for talks with Villa boss Steve Bruce.

Losing out on McGinn, 23, just two days before the English transfer window shuts would be a major blow for Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers who has been pursuing him all summer.

It’s believed the champions have felt confident all along that McGinn’s first choice was Parkhead.

They felt he could even be prepared to hang fire until January to sign a pre-contract — with his present Hibees deal up next summer.

That’s made Celtic reluctant to go beyond the £2m mark, with Easter Road chiefs adamant all along it would take double that to get their man.

Villa, recently bought over by billionaires Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens, kicked-off their attempt to return to the Premier League at Hull last night.

Gaffer Bruce has been a long term admirer of Scotland star McGinn, and had him watched again in last Sunday’s 3-0 win over Motherwell.

Another impressive performance convinced Bruce to make his move.

Now Celts have to decide quickly if they will get involved in a potential auction for McGinn.

07/08/2018 : Further to the above two posts, per SSN :
Hibernian midfielder John McGinn has arrived at Aston Villa's training ground for talks about a possible move to the club, Sky Sports News understands.
More to follow...

Aston Villa and Middlesbrough are fighting it out for the services of Bristol City defender Joe Bryan, according to Sky sources.
Both Championship clubs have had offers of between £4-6m for the 24-year-old accepted.
Bryan is deciding which club he would prefer to join.

If John Mcginn signs for Villa for £4m it’s a steal.

The boy is the real deal and one of the best players to come out of scotland in many years. If he played in the championship or old firm his price tag would be nearer 10-15m.

His dynamism, professionalism and attitude epitomises the boy. He will go far in the game. Villa is the perfect type club. Hope john helps propel this sleeping giant back to the premiership where it belongs. And to, where I think john belongs eventually.

Good luck and best wishes Super John Mcginn !

Ps look out for him using his backside to turn his back to the game and to roll his marker and drive the team forward.

Thanks for the input. What can we expect from him? What kind of player would you compare him too? Will he make the cut down South?
