they should have been forced to ground share with southampton

dean court is not fit for the premier league

maybe by staying where they are they think its their best chance to survive

either way ,,,,,,,,unless our new crop of players hit the ground running

against a side with players who are used to each other

i dont fancy our chances on saturday

They had the lowest capacity in the Championship.

We beat them in the Cup and can do it again.

UTV!

You're right ! We beat them when we were struggling, they had a very good season in the championship, but are miles off prem standard.

Fingers crossed we do Anne, it'll be a test for the new lads for sure. Bournemouth will be more than up for this.

yes we did Anne

but that day they rested players as promotion was their priority

and still outplayed us for most the match ,,,,,,,,,,,well certainly the first half

it was only a 2nd half wonder goal from Carlos gil that got us into the 5th round

That's all in the past.

Let's look to the future now, it's only just begun...

Managed that with Lambert at the helm - and look what happened.

May take a while for all the new players to settle and gel but think we'll be okay. Hope so anyhow.

Historically difficult to get a result against a newly promoted team first game of the season so I think we'll lose this one.

Not expecting too much from this one so anything less than a defeat will be a bonus

That might not be a bad bet actually!! Libor's got a point to prove, reckon he will be a little hungry for this if selected.

Start of the season, friendly games results, new faces in the squad - it all doesnt matter, this is a kind of game we have to win. While I love stealing points from contenders, its less important than ensuring wins against worse or equal teams. I will be disappointed with a different result.

I've got my ticket....... To San Diego for the 3rd Annual North America meet up. 70+ confirmed Villa fans will be in attendance to watch from all over NA, Ireland and the UK. One of my Canadian mates got a ticket for Bournemouth. He's going with Kiddie Lions

That is exactly why they've done it, they hope the tiny stadium might wrong foot a few teams. If they survive plans are in place to increase capacity.

They are a close knit group of players who have come up through the leagues together playing good football, i think they could surprise a few this season.

See you Friday Anne, and if anyone else is in town the night before come and have a beer or two.

You shall indeed. Staying at the Royal Exeter if that means anything to you.

I know it, i often use the bar in the Lampeter hotel which is just behind the Exeter. Depending on how mobile you are thats as good a place as any for a drink.

Sure that's grand then. Can manage to get there, slowly...

How far is the ground from there?
