Official: Joleon Lescott Signs

Aston Villa have agreed a fee with West Brom for central defender Joleon Lescott, according to Sky sources.

Lescott will undergo a medical with Aston Villa on Tuesday and, all going well, will then complete his transfer for a fee of £1m, which could rise to £2m.

In my opinion this is a real good piece of business as he has proven over the years that he is a very good defender who battles and gives everything on the pitch. Him and Richards will work very well together

AVFC - Breaking news: Villa sign Lescott

Aston Villa is delighted to announce the signing of Joleon Lescott.

The 33-year-old defender has joined the club on a two year deal from West Bromwich Albion.

Villa fan Lescott becomes our eleventh signing this summer.

Not impressed at all. Especially given Clark was one of our better players last year.

I thought it was very odd Pulis would let him leave on the cheap after one season even if he did well, now I can see why. Really struggled so far.
