Possibility, hope Leicester's bubble bursts now they're safe as some of the QPR players will want to have a good game to alert suitors..

Could finish 14th

that would be good ,,,,,,more money for a higher place would easily pay for the stupid fines Villa have received this season

Depends what team he plays - we should win with a strong side but if we leave more than 5 out it could be tricky .

I hope he plays some of the academy players. Give the others a it of a rest before the final.

Main thing here is no injuries or suspensions rather than the result or performance.

Will a win against Burnley move us up a place considering the money available?

If it doesn't and it really is a meaningless game then the likes of Delph, Benteke and Grealish should be rested.

Depend on other results - could move up 2 places or drop 1 I think .

Would rest those 3 in any case .

@greggevans40: Another enjoyable press conference at #avfc today. So much fun with Sherwood around. He's a breath of fresh air.

@greggevans40: Sherwood's responses are thoughtful, detailed, and humorous. He knowledge is second to none but he's also so engaging with his replies.#avfc

Agreed but will he do it? It would be just our luck to lose either Benteke or Delph to a silly injury.

Tim Sherwood on youth development.

Brown

Tim Sherwood believes Villa's young academy lions are hungrier than ever to impress.

Sherwood is considering involving some of them on matchday against Burnley.

He's already fast-tracked Jack Grealish into his first team, given 16-year-old Rushian Hepburn-Murphy his debut, involved Lewis Kinsella in several squads and had others train regularly under his tutelage.

Sherwood believes the likes of Grealish, Hepburn-Murphy and Kinsella have offered inspiration to the other young aces aiming for big claret and blue futures.

He thinks they can now see a clear path to the senior set-up.

Asked whether some of the club's starlets might be involved on Sunday, he said: "At some stage, possibly.

"I will only make changes if other players can't play.

"We might have one or two on the bench and hopefully we can see them at some stage.

"They see there's always an opportunity.

"They have seen that Jack has played and Rushian has played earlier in the season. They realise there's a chance for anyone.

"No matter what age you are you can play for this first team.

"I know what it's like - seeing the woods through the trees and training for a purpose."

Villa's U21s have improved markedly since the arrival of Sherwood.

He's certainly seen an uplift.

He added: "The performances have picked up. Individually they have got better.

"I have had an opportunity now to have a look at some of these kids. I am looking forward to working with some of them."

EPL Sunday, 24/05/2015 : Aston Villa v Burnley, KO 15:00 hours.

I will be at this match today, Trinity Row 'A' and expect to see Aston Villa defeat Burnley, provided we do not present them with sort of gifts we showered on Man City and Southampton (!!!) and have predicted a 3-1 win for AVFC.
Now many folks have described this game as 'meaningless' for us, but as far as I am concerned, no competitive game is ever meaningless. I doubt if Tim Sherwood thinks this game is meaningless either and that is why I expect to see AVFC do the job required today.
As former Aston Villa Manager Vic Crowe said way back in 1972 : "We must be professional and ruthless right through to the end.".

Good deal - usually by this time the club sale is about 70% off but still at 30% at the moment - maybe taking advantage of the Wembley run and still selling well.

They've done this offer of a tenner shirt for the last few home matches I believe. Got both mine with the offer :p I refuse to pay 40-50quid for a football shirt
