Peever

Southampton 6 Aston Villa 1

Agree, and he only got in due to an injury to Baker who, at the time, was playing brilliantly.

Both Clark and Baker stepped up this season and looked very good.

I don't think Baker cuts the mustard.

He tries but he's another player whose mere presence in the team makes me decidedly anxious.

Which was what everyone was saying about Clark when Baker got injured and was bought in.

Before his first injury Baker had been playing really well, and at Wembley, before getting injured, he hadn't put a foot wrong.

I didn't. Have always been a fan of Clark.

When Baker was inexplicably keeping Clark out under Lambert, the defence shipped ten goals in three games.

He's only made about a dozen appearances this season and is ridiculously injury-prone for such a big brute of a lad.

Sadly this is true about him being injury prone - seems to go down more often than a hooker .

Baker has a tendency to ball watch too much and is then too late to react. Clarke has shone this season and has proved he is prepeard to put his body on the line for the cause.

Baker reminds me of Collins. Neither are meant or qualified to lead a back line, but can shine next to a CB who can.

I'm done with Vlaar after this match. It's not like that's the first time he's brain farted on a pass back to the keeper. He's too inconsistent for a player with injury problems. He's not our future, and I wouldn't trust him in a support role. Hopefully we're done with him. He's done well during his time here, and I haven't forgotten what he's brought, but time to move on.

Considering Vlaar is playing to earn a new contract with us, it didn't look like he could have given a monkey's uncle about the game yesterday. Someone of his experiance shouldn't be making dreadful mistakes like he did that often...

Now we are safe and I can reflect on the game I am getting annoyed at just how bad the CB's were!!

They were like a few of the zombies from the walking dead for the most part!!

I wonder if both had an eye on Wembley and did not want to get injured?? Shocking

i wouldnt play either for the final ,,,,,,,but i think tim will

he hasnt got that much choice really

but saying that ,,,,,,,,

dare i say a word against tim

he may have got the tactics , team selection and formation wrong on saturday

saying that ,,,,,,i was pleased when the team was announced ,,,,,,only 1 change hutton for injured richardson

so in my opinion hutton has proved before he is sh*t at being a left back

and he hasnt really had a good game since christmas

so i would have put another right back at left back ,,,,,,

someone who has played well at left back already this season ,,,,,matty lowton

but even so ,,,the back 4 were pushing forward too much trying for the offside trap

i think the term is called high line

and we got caught out ,,,,,,,,6 times
