ASTON VILLA vs. ARSENAL

Wembley Stadium

Live Match Chat & Predictions

The lions are back! 15 years was a long wait but we are back at wembley! still reeling a bit about the ticket allocation the fa have distributed this year, shocking form prioritising "football family" over real fans. still gunna try for a ticket though, would be gutted to miss this. also keen to make a big weekend of it with the boys if we can so crossing all my fingers that ticket allocations work out and we dont end up being shafted by some third party pr*cks. Anyone got any predictions yet? I'm fully backing grealish being a hero yet again what a boy.

My only prediction is that in a Wembley final it's a great leveller and we have more than a fighting chance .

I was worried we may freeze on the day on Sunday and be overawed but we rose to the occasion - feel we are in with a real chance against the arsenal.

Only 25,000 allocation, 7,000 less than the semi-final

Me too! I think we really pulled it out the bag lets hope we can keep that energy up at wembley, we will definitely have our hands full with the arsenal but I agree if we keep at the pace we've been going out we could easily come out on top.

Just doesn't seem right that in a stadium of 90,000 the fans a re gonna get shafted like this. Anyone got any more news on when they releasing?

Plus we play in claret and blue, Arsenal play in yellow.

Is it just me who thinks we are destined to win it?

Home run all the way, although Arsenal is the home team...

Only based on alphabetical order though, and only on the billing. We have home colours and the home dressing room.

Not many of the cheaper seats category - mainly the 2 higher price bands.

Didn't West Ham in claret and blue beat the arsenal in yellow at Wembley too .

at them prices I hope the F.A. can afford to rope in a couple more car /coach park attendants,!!--absolute joke at semi, 5 lines of traffic squeezing out of one exit,--the 2 tried their best to be fair --but farcical!!

25,000 better than 22,500, --but no where near enough for the 2 clubs involved,----spivs, fleecers and scalpers will have a ball,

great that we are in Claret and Blue and got the West Side,--so much for the i.t.k. goooner badge seller in the Green Man,!!

Indeed freddy , access issues for me are the reason a new national stadium should have been at the nec and not in Wembley .

The ST holders get the dearer seats then the remainder go on sale.

Will be an expensive weekend for some but I am sure nobody will mind too much.

Graham Taylor believes Tim Sherwood's natural enthusiasm has done wonders for Villa.

Taylor is an immensely respected figure in claret and blue history, having bossed the team to the First Division in 1987-88 and then to second place in the top-flight in 1989-90 before heading off to manager the England national team.

He still keeps an eye on claret and blue matters and has been heartened by the club's shoots of recovery in the Barclays Premier League under Sherwood - and the run to the FA Cup final.

Taylor, who crossed paths with youngster Sherwood when he was at Watford, is a fan of the effervescent gaffer - and thinks this bubbly personality has done the trick in B6.

He said: "Tim Sherwood has done very well.

"He was an apprentice at Watford when I was there. Then I left for Villa. He made his move to the likes of Blackburn and Tottenham.

"He was a committed player. He was always committed to the cause. He did very well.

"What Tim has brought to Villa as a manager is an enthusiasm.

"He is up and down on the touchline and giving it the fist pump. The crowd love it of course because they see their manager almost getting involved on the pitch.

"That has helped him and they have had some very good results."

Benteke

Taylor believes claret and blue heroes can emerge forever if Villa win the FA Cup - and the 70-year-old thinks there's no reason why they can't on May 30 when they face Arsenal.

He added: "Villa deserved the win over Liverpool.

"I believe there's no reason why Villa can't win the FA Cup final. It will be the same feeling for the Villa supporters.

"These are one-off games. They are nothing to do with your league position.

"This is Wembley, this is the FA Cup final, this is when you will go down in the club's history.

"Everyone will want this at Villa. It's an ending to the season that I don't think anyone would have envisaged.

"But it's not worth winning the FA Cup if you lose your place in the Premier League.

"I am sure Tim is getting that through to his players. I am sure he is saying - let's do both. Let's stay up and win the cup."
