Scott Sinclair (2015-16)

59 posts in this topic

Sinclair has played well for us from the start - cleverly has really upped his game in the last 3 months to a different level - I put that down to Sherwood and the change in style rather than looking for a deal elsewhere

Maybe it's time Scott plays the position that reflects his number.

Sinclair is in Garth Crooks's team of the week.

He must be riding high so could be really important for us.

He is finding the form that made Citeh sign him, a big player for us this season and seems he is our designated penalty taker!!

for the price we paid could be the buy of the season.

If Sherwood doesn't buy a striker before 6p.m. on Tuesday, I think he will easily be our leading scorer.

Would love to see him given the chance up front for a good period instead of on the wings just to see what he could do. 8 goals since pre season shows he has something.

Not sure I'd agree: showed great instincts to score his goal on Saturday.

I think he works well with another striker with him, couldn't see him leading the line on his win as he is not physical enough.

Most Of The best forwards over the years have worked in partnerships.

Maybe Adebayor and Sinclair could be that combination, hence TS's interest in loaning Adebayor.

05/08/2016 : It looks like this might be 4th time lucky for Celtic ... no mention of any release clause here, btw.

Skysports - Celtic are closing in on a deal for Aston Villa forward Scott Sinclair

no release clause but finaly villa agreed tbf celtic do like to fanny about when it comes too transfers a lot of add ons on the transfer so villa will be hoping celtic make the CL from now on in the next 4 yrs as ye get 250k in hearing,...so you'll have to support celtic from now on larry if ye want to see villa get extra money,..overall happy, villa make a profit & Sinclair who is a winger was villas top goal scorer

That SSN report said that Sinclair is having a medical, Dimitri, so it looks like Villa's footballing loss will be Celtic's footballing gain.

Once again, finance is being put ahead of football !

Thought Sinclair would have been a good option for supplying McCormack.

Let's face it.  apart from that goal against West Brom in the cup,  what did Sinclair ever  do for Villa.

Another clown that took us down but will do alright in Scotland

Good riddance. People say he will be a loss? He is a one trick pony, looks to cut inside to shoot everytime. Creates nothing for no1. We have a better version of that in Ayew.

Only thing I am surprised about is how much we are going to get for him.
