Merson Predicts

i would take that!!

Sunderland v Aston Villa (Saturday, 3:00pm)

Easy. 0-0. Villa will go there and can't afford to lose and Sunderland just don't score any goals. Villa have got some hard games coming up so they need to at least draw this game.

Tim Sherwood hasn't done much different to Paul Lambert but it's just a different voice in the dressing room. He hasn't come in and made 10 changes, it’s just a different voice. It's helping at the moment and I hope it continues.

PAUL PREDICTS: 0-0

don't agree with Merse on this one

think we will win the game

Tim Sherwood hasn't done much different to Paul Lambert

We are more attacking now, with sinclair and zog, with gabby leading the line

maybe Merse means that they can clear understand the instructions instead of the incoherent mumbles of Lambo?? lol

The Black Cats are there to be mauled.

Let's hope Gabby grabs another goalkeeper against them in what will be his three hundredth Premier League game and that Sherwood gets one over on his old team-mate.

UTV!

I agree they are there for the taking.

I obviously meant 'grabs another goal', not goalkeeper. Another red card is definitely not what we need, although they tend to be shown with alarming frequency when we play Sunderland.

I am with Merse on this, a draw will be an excellent point

Villa will have looked at Burnley’s match with Manchester City and thought they would have been more than just three points from safety after their own great win at Sunderland last week, and six points clear is a lot more of a cushion than three.

I do worry a bit for Villa in this fixture as their fans will, for the first time this season, be turning up at Villa Park expecting their team to get a result and Swansea is a hard fixture, while Garry Monk will want his side to achieve a record points total in the Premier League.

And that is why I am going for a 1-1 draw, as I see this being a tough contest for Villa.

PAUL PREDICTS: 1-1
