Peever 238
Vlaar has come leaps and bounds since start of season. Done a good job with what he's had to work with. When your constantly under pressure you can't stay "concrete" all the time.
avfc85 130
Vlaar is a decent defender, but you can only be as good as the unit around you, Bacuna just never stays in position, Lowton is the weakest fullback i've ever seen, Baker is not a prem player, Clarke makes rash decisions and Bertrand is just mr average (how did he play in a CL final) if he carries on like this Mourinho would never play him! AnneMc 265
Left the house at 6.15am and just home ten minutes ago. What an utter embarrassment that was. To say they made constant schoolboy errors is an insult to the shittiest schoolboy ever to kick a ball. Vlaar may be marginally better than our other options but he is no captain. It makes my blood boil to see him wear that armband, it really does. Might as well hand it to the ball boy. Sickening that once again we're relying on other teams' failings to keep us afloat - and we are worse than last year and than the McLeish year. In fact, I think it's fair to say I have never seen worse from Villa as an adult. Am adopting the Jimmy Greaves approach for the rest of the season - 'Let's close our eyes and see what happens.' I'll fit right in - that's the way this team seems to be playing.
lukedaw 80
Dont think will go down but that has nothing to do with Villa! This is not good enough for a club of Villa size! Lets hope Lerner and Lambert leaves ASAP! Fed up of this crap! Get well soon Petrov

Lost_In_Normandy 85
I think what was just as painful was that the away faithful were broken too....its very clear we've had enough and we could hardly raise a few songs....much to the delight of a vocal home crowd, that did their team proud. Really was a painful Villa day. "Look at the Holte End, listen to the Holte End" Gary Mowbray BBC MOTD Aston Villa 1 - Chelsea 0 Saturday 15th March 2014
