What a load of rubbish lol lol lol

to talk of getting quality players for in the region of £12 mill, is stupid as far as im concerned, who or what player of quality worth that amount of money would come to a poor side like we have and

theres about 3 players in our team that would walk into a top 8th team and we be commanding alot more than 1m for them. u can buy 6 or 2 players and the money can be huge or tiny and the 30m soldados of the world are shite buys compare to the 1.5m bacuna's

sometimes money is just a massive risk and buying 2 players in a summer window is certainly kamakazi if u ask me. hell, why dont we do a spurs and spend 100m and finish maybe 5th lol. i must ask you skyba as rawly asked me, how many games have u watched of hoolahan??

Lol, enough to know he's not good enough to be classed as a "quality signing"

The plan was to rebuild from the ground up, the meant clearing the deadwood, which is done, bulking the squad, which is done, next was to add quality. What should be happening is the players in positions that are bottom of the list should be moved on and then that player should be replaced by someone good enough to walk into the side and make our current first choice second choice. That's the only way to progress with this plan that's been set out.

You may be happy with hoolahan but I think that's more down to your Irish connection to him than a real feeling he is a quality premiership player.

And I agree not many of our team would walk into a top 8 club but that's the point, those players now need replacing with players that could.

That's how you build not by buying mediocre players and hopin you'll stay mediocre, that's kamakazi, we can afford to buy just 2 players as the squad we have now is big enough to cope, add those 2 quality signings would be adding to the likes of okore, vlaar, benteke, Westwood, weimann and whoever else doesn't get replaced and making us a better squad. Then next year if the likes of Weiman and co aren't up to scratch they get pushed down to number 2 and replaced with more quality and so on, each time getting rid of the players who aren't good enough which will not be as difficult as before because the wages aren't high.

i like to call it risk management lol. if they played well i would hold my hands up and say i was wrong etc

but we need more than 2 players to start playing well if u ask me. hoolhan may not be a long term answer buts hes defo something alot better than what we have for that type of role. i want lerner to spend all the money that he got on his american football team on villa. unfortunetly for me its not gonna happen.

if we just balanced the books in a sense, then i doubt we will be dipping straight into darren bent prices. i would say 20m will still be given or 30m. anythin else i would be overly surprised

Thing is your risk management doesn't lead to success or progression it leads to stagnating or going backwards.

The plan has to involve replacing lesser quality with better quality to work, not buying an over the hill player who gives a lot of effort and has never been more than an average player. Yes a good squad filler but that part of the plan should be done with already.

Also you talked about him against us, he did show some effort but where did it get them?? Oh a 4-1 loss at home to the team with the worst home record in the country, if he can't transform Norwich at villa park what would he do for us at villa park?

lol its got nothing to do with him been irish. i will admit it may make it easier for me to follow him as i know others that follow him too, but if hes sh*t i dont want him in a villa shirt.

i cant comment on the likes of defour or kiyote cause all i have seen from them is a compilation on youtube which i wouldnt consider knowing anything about them.... hoohlahan is better than our midfield in my eyes, so thats a step forward. and 2 good years left in a player with prem league experience for 1m that has better eyesight to play a pass than our midfield is not over the hill.

as for ur norwich comment, u could put messi in midfield for them and the outcome of that 15mins that we played well woulda been the same outcome.

Dont know what people are expecting if they aint happy with Hoolahan, signing big name players has long gone and its not a Lambert thing to do for starters

Pressure certainly needs taking off young Fabian----the kids a workhorse, in the Frankie Carrodus,Kevin Richardson moulds---but he bears the task practically on his own and will sure burn out if he continues unaided,Sylla finds it hard to pass to a colleague,is this just a wee blip?,Westwood works and does spray the ball around nicely,KEA had his best game for me on sunday---it depends on how much lambo is given---i saw wesser play for Blackpool several times but that was several years ago but he sure was paramount in their rise,if we are talking about £1 million then i can,t see much of a problem, bring him in for a couple of seasons he would be a good addition, would like to see him alongside Delphy and Westwood----38 games is a long time, especially with suspensions loss of form and injury,s,

Everyone talking about getting in quality to replace the lessor players, but we don't have a number 10 to be replaced by quality, what happens if we blow our budget on a number 10 without cover and they get an Okore injury and are out for the majority if the season? It will just replicate this season again..

What if they don't!!! What if we sign hoolahan and he Ets an injury? We'll be in the same position but paying the wages of a player who will probably never play again, at least with okore we're lookin forward to his return. also hoolahan is more likely to get injured at his age. Thinking like this will only lead to stagnating or going backwards, you need to speculate to accumulate, buying the likes I hoolahan will only lead to other teams catching us up.

People keep saying he's better than our current bunch but that doesn't mean he's a good player lol. He is better at doing certain things than our current lot but not by much.

If this is the level of bullshit signings we have to look forward to in the summer lambert and Lerner can both f*ck off in my eyes, the foundation is built if this plan exists it's time to look for proper footballers not championship over-achievers

if hoohlahan gets injured we still have the budget. so therefore could buy 2 players for that position instead of ur crazy idea of buying 2 players for the summer. if u buy a player u have to consider the risk of him being injured or if u have back up. ur idea of stagnating a club because i dont think its right to splash all the cash on 2 players is baffling. if we buy hoolahan for 1m and another playmaker for 5m. out of a 20m budget compare to ur 2 players for 10-11m we be in far better shape with the cheaper players as we still have other areas to to look at.

bertrand is only on loan so im guessing the 2 players u are talking about are LB and No10 for the 20m

this also leaves in areas like where we have tonev for back up, lowton who could be off to the championship on loan. albrighton that hasnt signed a new deal that im aware of. and if push comes to shove benteke could pull another crazy one in the summer.

ur 2 players for the summer is risk management at its worst as we still have to fill loads of holes in this squad. hoolahan would fill a hole......

i cant say we will get over 20m in the summer as its yet to be seen so im just basing that number on what we usually get per year

The risk management had been done over the last 2 years we've signe 17 yes 17 players to fill certain positions, your idea is to just carry on buying average players and paying low wages on shite!! That's not going to work!

If benteke goes then we'd get that money too so 2 players in key positions will mean that those positions will have a better quality of backup then if we sell the players like tonev go aren't getting in we could use that money to buy some more backups he idea of buying 5-7 cramp players each year may be risk management but all it will do is give us yet another season of worrying about relegation, but hey at lease we won't have to worry about injury!!
