Like I said the other day, I think we will be in for him.

Yh you mentioned it the other day but we werent mentioned in the group of clubs interested, think he deserves a chance as he is too good for league 1

Wells would be a good signing, promising. AK, I think we need a bit of everything. Midfield is the greatest need though.

Like i said i wouldnt mind him, but we could have Falcao upfront and still not score because we hardly create anything. Midfield needs to be improved first and foremost

You don't know this though do you? All we know is the purse strings have been tightened. You said the other day that you know he's looking for a buyer so surely it would make sense that he wants to sp

It's not the outlay on transfers that's the problem. Lerner knows of he pays £1m on 17 players he knows he'll probably make that money back when they're sold. Wages are money down the drain unless you

Mat Kendrick seems to think its Hoolahan or Defour: http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/paul-lambert-want-playmaker-who-6469808

Given one is 31 and the other 25 I know who I would prefer.

Both would be good and then Gardner out on loan, wont happen though

Gardners contract is up in the summer. If he goes on loan he's finished.

Doesnt look like he will get a game here though, surely give him an extension must be on the cards as he hasnt been able to play a handful of games in a row and a few years back potentially he was our future cm star

We all seem to be of the opinion that it will only be 2 or 3 signings and if 2 of those signings are quality midfielders we could see a completely different team. Surely the defence and attack would perform far better if we had midfielders who can retain possession and actually pass the ball forwards.

As for wells, he looked good against us last year but I am sick of signing potential I want some proven talent.

I don't think we would get mcgeady his wage demand would be to high for us, this is the problem we pay championship wages, he would get more at QPR. Time to go Lerner......or start providing the funds we need. We are Aston Villa not Hull City or the small Heath Lego land team down the road.

We have become a club that just wants to stay in the prem, no ambition, let's just stay back end of the table attitude. We should be aiming for Europe at least and a good cup run. As I said in my last post we are Aston Villa, proud history bright future.....more like no future under the current owners. If we want to play in this league and progress we need to start paying higher wages and stop looking for the cheap option all the time. Is it time for Lerner to sell? Or a new manager........?
